一、教學(xué)目標(biāo)
(1)知識(shí)目標(biāo): 熟練掌握重點(diǎn)句型:
①—What does he look like? —He is really tall. And he has curly hair.
②—What do you/they look like? —Im/Theyre of medium height.
③—Is she tall? —No,she isnt.
④詞匯:curly,straight,medium,height,build,always look like等
(2)能力目標(biāo):①能熟練地用英語(yǔ)描述人的外表特點(diǎn)。②能概括人物的外貌特征并根據(jù)人物特征推理出某一人物。
(3)情感目標(biāo):①通過(guò)描述同學(xué)的外貌,使學(xué)生在人際交往中學(xué)會(huì)尊重和理解別人。②教育學(xué)生要多發(fā)現(xiàn)別人的優(yōu)點(diǎn),學(xué)會(huì)贊美別人,友好地描述別人的形象。
二、教學(xué)重、難點(diǎn)
教學(xué)重點(diǎn):學(xué)會(huì)如何描述自己及他人的外貌,讓學(xué)生開(kāi)口用英語(yǔ)來(lái)表達(dá)自己的想法。
教學(xué)難點(diǎn):能正確使用is 與has描述外貌。
三、教學(xué)準(zhǔn)備:?jiǎn)卧~卡、多媒體課件、錄音等。
四、教學(xué)過(guò)程
Step 1. Warm-up/Revision
Free talk:
T:Hello,boys and girls. How are you?
Ss:Im fine. Thank you. And you?
T:Fine, too. Thank you. Do you like songs?
Ss:Yes.
T:I have a song here. lets enjoy it,ok?
播放歌曲“Head Shoulder Knees”,導(dǎo)入課題。
T:Its very nice.Now,Lets finish Task 1-have a brainstorm:讓學(xué)生快速回憶自己所知道的parts of the body和描述人體外貌的單詞。
<設(shè)計(jì)說(shuō)明> 歌曲歡快,有節(jié)奏的韻律,使得學(xué)生在輕松愉快的氣氛中進(jìn)入學(xué)習(xí)狀態(tài),溫故知新,也為以下的任務(wù)打好詞匯基礎(chǔ)。
Step 2. Lead in
T Say: Look at me.Im tall and thin. And I have big eyes ,a small mouth and black hair (注意配以肢體語(yǔ)言).同時(shí)課件出示句型SO what do I look like? Oh, Im ...學(xué)生跟讀2遍。
多媒體出示一張又矮又瘦并且有著卷發(fā)的男孩照片,一邊說(shuō) Look at this man.Hes short and thin. He has curly hair. 然后老師自問(wèn)自答引出本單元的課題也是本節(jié)課的重點(diǎn)句型 “What does he look like?”,以及回答 “Hes short and thin. He has curly hair.”學(xué)生模仿練習(xí),語(yǔ)速由慢而快,回答時(shí)一定得用動(dòng)作來(lái)加以描述。

Step 3. Presentation and practice
1.Show a picture with a beautiful girl who is short,heavy and has long curly hair to students, then ask them:what does she look like?教學(xué)She is short.Shes heavy.And she has long curly hair.每小組的第一個(gè)學(xué)生開(kāi)火車(chē),操練此句型,及時(shí)點(diǎn)評(píng)。
2.Show a picture with a handsome boy who is of medium height and build and has short straight hair.
T:Is he very tall?Is he very short?Is he very thin?Is he very heavy?Does he have long curly hair? What does he look like?
Teach:Hes of medium height.Hes of medium build.He has short straight hair.用單詞卡重點(diǎn)講解medium,height build,straight的發(fā)音和拼讀。學(xué)生小組內(nèi)輪著問(wèn)答此句型并一起向全班展示。師生一起評(píng)價(jià),加星。
3.Lets finish Task 2-play a game(Good memory). First 用多媒體展示the sentences below,Ss read them together and remember them for one minute,then guess what is No1/2/...Teacher works as a judge.答對(duì)的同學(xué)能給小組獲得一顆小星星。

4.Finish Book Page41 1a.Match the words with the people in the picture.You can use some letters more than once.

Step 4. Task 3 pairwork
1.A girl wants to know what Amys friend looks like,so she asks Amy, listen to 1b and fill in the blanks in the picture above.Can you find Amys friend?
2.多媒體展示有鮮明特征的人物。Ask Ss:“Do you know these persons?What do they look like? Choose one as your friend.Then work in pairs. A:What does your friend look like? B:Hes tall.He has short hair.He wears a T—shirt.
3.每一個(gè)大組推選一對(duì)最好的參加全班的小組比賽。師生一起評(píng)選出最佳組合。
4.T:…is….She has…Teach:What do you look like?I….Ss小組開(kāi)火車(chē)問(wèn)答。
<設(shè)計(jì)說(shuō)明>學(xué)以致用,語(yǔ)言輸入在語(yǔ)言輸出之前,符合學(xué)生的認(rèn)知規(guī)律,采取小組競(jìng)賽的方式,大大激發(fā)了同學(xué)們想運(yùn)用此句型的興趣。
Step 5. Listening
1.Listen and circle(2a)Tell the students there is a listening.There are three conversations. Listen to Conversation 1,finish 1-3.Listen to Conversation 2,finish 4-6.Listen to Conversation 3,finish 7-9.Then ask a student to say full sentences to check the answers. Show the summary:is后面接形容詞,表示是什么樣子的;has后面接名詞,表示有什么東西。
2.Listen and fill(2b)Say:Today,three new friends come to our class. They are David,Sally and Pete.Now,Lets listen and fill what they look like.
<設(shè)計(jì)說(shuō)明>這一環(huán)節(jié)是本課內(nèi)容的擴(kuò)展,通過(guò)聽(tīng)力練習(xí)鞏固所學(xué)句型和詞匯;通過(guò)summary使學(xué)生能更好地理解is和 has的正確使用,突破本課重點(diǎn)和難點(diǎn);通過(guò)模仿錄音,糾正學(xué)生的語(yǔ)音語(yǔ)調(diào)。
Step 6. Task 4 Groupwork
1.First teacher gives an example about describing a student in class and let the others guess who is it. Then students describe his/her good friend in groups and ask the others to guess. For example:S1:I have a good boy/girl friend.
Ss:What does he/she look like?
S1:….Who is he/she?
Ss:Is he/she …?He/She is…
2.學(xué)生練習(xí)的時(shí)候,老師巡視和指導(dǎo),并選擇一兩組在全班面前展示。
<設(shè)計(jì)說(shuō)明>根據(jù)前面所學(xué)的全部?jī)?nèi)容,設(shè)計(jì)出Task 4 Groupwork,讓學(xué)生在小組內(nèi)綜合運(yùn)用語(yǔ)言合作去描述同班同學(xué)和自己的外貌。
Step 7. Task 5 Lets write.
Lily has a new friend in Class Five.Ss look at the picture in part 3 and finish the dialoge.Then ask a student to describe what Nancy look like.Nancy is my new friend.She is…She has….And she always wears….
Boys and girls,do you have a friend?What does your friend look like?Now lets write a short passage(短文)about your friend.Then show us your passage.
