        由此及彼:高考英語(yǔ)書(shū)面表達(dá)思維的“要點(diǎn)”

        摘 要:讀后續(xù)寫(xiě)是高考英語(yǔ)新增加的書(shū)面表達(dá)考核內(nèi)容。讀后續(xù)寫(xiě)要求學(xué)生在準(zhǔn)確理解文本的基礎(chǔ)上,找出文本的核心要點(diǎn),并結(jié)合所給段落開(kāi)頭和關(guān)鍵詞續(xù)寫(xiě)出一篇內(nèi)容上有邏輯銜接、情節(jié)和結(jié)構(gòu)上完整的短文。文章以讀后續(xù)寫(xiě)表達(dá)思維活用為論述要點(diǎn),探討結(jié)合學(xué)生的文本閱讀和寫(xiě)作需求,引導(dǎo)學(xué)生由此及彼地運(yùn)用要點(diǎn)摘錄、核心詞匯深思、前后語(yǔ)句聯(lián)讀、語(yǔ)句整理和回頭審讀等方法找到所給文本的切入點(diǎn)與發(fā)散點(diǎn),提高學(xué)生的書(shū)面表達(dá)能力。

        讀寫(xiě)結(jié)合是英語(yǔ)教學(xué)的基本原則,閱讀是吸收,寫(xiě)作是表達(dá),兩者相輔相成,密不可分,都是英語(yǔ)教學(xué)中的重要內(nèi)容。提高學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)閱讀能力和寫(xiě)作能力是英語(yǔ)課程重要的教學(xué)目標(biāo)。在我省即將施行的新高考模式中,英語(yǔ)科目的書(shū)面表達(dá)部分由原來(lái)的一篇變?yōu)閮善?,除了學(xué)生比較熟悉的應(yīng)用文寫(xiě)作之外,又新增加了讀后續(xù)寫(xiě)寫(xiě)作。這對(duì)學(xué)生的閱讀能力和寫(xiě)作能力都提出更高的要求,對(duì)教師的閱讀教學(xué)和寫(xiě)作教學(xué)也提出新要求。在實(shí)際教學(xué)過(guò)程中,教師必須注重讀寫(xiě)結(jié)合教學(xué)方法的運(yùn)用,以讀促寫(xiě),以寫(xiě)促讀,從而促進(jìn)學(xué)生讀寫(xiě)思維的發(fā)展,有效提高學(xué)生的讀寫(xiě)能力。

        一、聚焦要點(diǎn)摘讀:有的放矢“揣”意

        寫(xiě)作是以閱讀為基礎(chǔ)的,讀后續(xù)寫(xiě)更是在閱讀的大前提下進(jìn)行的寫(xiě)作?;诖耍谌粘=虒W(xué)過(guò)程中,教師要引導(dǎo)學(xué)生在理解原文的基礎(chǔ)上,有的放矢地寫(xiě)作,使學(xué)生的續(xù)寫(xiě)不偏離主題。一方面,教師要引導(dǎo)學(xué)生聚焦原文要點(diǎn)摘讀,并給出相應(yīng)的要點(diǎn)摘讀提示和指導(dǎo)。另一方面,教師要啟發(fā)學(xué)生融入原文,深入理解文本內(nèi)容,并努力在原文語(yǔ)句中找出更多可供表達(dá)運(yùn)用的關(guān)鍵點(diǎn)。下面,筆者以一篇讀后續(xù)寫(xiě)為例進(jìn)行具體分析和講解。例文:Three years ago, at Christmas time, my wife, three children and I were on our way from Paris to Nice...Our hotels were “tourist traps” and our rented car broke down. On Christmas Eve, when we checked into a dirty hotel in Nice, there was no Christmas spirit in our hearts...In the corner a piano player was listlessly(無(wú)精打采地)playing Christmas music...“I, I don't have change, sir. ”She said.“I'll get some from the waiter.”“No, ma'am,” said the sailor, leaning over and kissing the ancient cheek.“This is my Christmas present for you.”短文的大概意思是,去年圣誕節(jié)的時(shí)候,我和妻子以及三個(gè)孩子從巴黎到尼斯去度假,路上一點(diǎn)都不順利……我們住的旅館是家“黑店”,我們租的車子還壞了。在平安夜,當(dāng)我們?nèi)胱∧崴挂患矣峙K又差的酒店時(shí),一點(diǎn)圣誕節(jié)的心情都沒(méi)有了……但是,當(dāng)一位老婆婆沒(méi)零錢找給向她買東西的水手,水手俯身親吻了老婆婆的臉,并說(shuō),“這是我送給你的圣誕禮物”時(shí),一切感覺(jué)都不同了。這篇小短文讀起來(lái)并不難,也很好理解。教師在帶領(lǐng)學(xué)生閱讀時(shí),可以從文章的整體格調(diào)入手,仔細(xì)體會(huì)文本的深意,并以“Christmas present”為表達(dá)切入點(diǎn),引導(dǎo)學(xué)生從listlessly(無(wú)精打采地)的氛圍中體味到“人間自有真情在”這一中心。教師在指導(dǎo)學(xué)生讀后續(xù)寫(xiě)時(shí),可以提示學(xué)生從短文的中心出發(fā),圍繞要點(diǎn)進(jìn)行寫(xiě)作,而要點(diǎn)通常要從what、when、where、who、why等方面去分析。

        二、圍繞核心詞匯:換位思考“融”境

        細(xì)節(jié)描寫(xiě)是閱讀素材的靈魂,是學(xué)生最需要關(guān)注的地方。在實(shí)際教學(xué)過(guò)程中,一方面,教師要讓學(xué)生反復(fù)閱讀文本,加深他們對(duì)文本內(nèi)容的理解,并啟發(fā)學(xué)生結(jié)合自身對(duì)文本的理解和感知,提出自己的想法。另一方面,教師要引導(dǎo)學(xué)生圍繞文本的細(xì)節(jié)描寫(xiě),特別是從一些關(guān)鍵的核心詞匯出發(fā),仔細(xì)體悟文本細(xì)節(jié)描寫(xiě)的用意,找出文本的思想內(nèi)核,從而找到續(xù)寫(xiě)的關(guān)鍵。例如,在一篇讀后續(xù)寫(xiě)中,有這樣的話:I wanted to go skating. But I couldn't do that. Because when I was eleven years old, I had a big accident. I get scared even now when I think about that time. I went skating near my house...I went with a friend who was very skillful. He left me skated all around. As soon as he left, I fell down...I was bored because I kept falling...What should I do at that time? The man grabbed my arms pulled me up... Until now, I always feel uncomfortable. Because I'm afraid of skating, I don't want to go skating once again even if now. 文章講的是作者11歲時(shí)和一個(gè)朋友去滑冰,自己出了一個(gè)大事故,導(dǎo)致再也不敢去滑冰的故事。針對(duì)這篇短文,首先,教師要帶領(lǐng)學(xué)生仔細(xì)分析文本,找出文中關(guān)鍵的核心詞匯。從文本的開(kāi)頭部分“I wanted to go skating. But I couldn't do that. Because...”中可以看出作者想去滑冰,但是不能去,然后后面很大一段都是在解釋自己不能去的理由。由此不難發(fā)現(xiàn)這篇文章的主題詞是“go skating”。然后,教師再引導(dǎo)學(xué)生由此及彼、以己及人,進(jìn)行換位思考,如有的學(xué)生玩水時(shí)嗆過(guò)水就害怕學(xué)游泳,有的學(xué)生騎單車時(shí)摔過(guò)跤就不愿意再去騎單車等,以此提升學(xué)生的體驗(yàn)感,讓學(xué)生找到續(xù)寫(xiě)的切入點(diǎn)。最后,教師再引導(dǎo)學(xué)生從人物、時(shí)間、地點(diǎn)、情節(jié)等幾方面入手進(jìn)行文本續(xù)寫(xiě)。

        三、前后語(yǔ)句聯(lián)讀:同向發(fā)力“對(duì)”標(biāo)

        讀后續(xù)寫(xiě)是讓學(xué)生根據(jù)自己對(duì)文本內(nèi)容的理解,提出自己的觀點(diǎn)和想法的一種寫(xiě)作方式,是考查和發(fā)展學(xué)生思維能力、創(chuàng)新能力的有效手段?;诖耍环矫?,教師要引導(dǎo)學(xué)生通過(guò)對(duì)原文前后語(yǔ)句的聯(lián)讀,找出文本的主題要義。另一方面,教師要啟發(fā)學(xué)生結(jié)合自己對(duì)文本的理解,從文章前后語(yǔ)句的差異中總結(jié)出自己的想法,從而獲得對(duì)文本更深層次的認(rèn)知和理解。下面筆者以一篇短文為例進(jìn)行分析。A few weeks before Thanksgiving one year, my husband and I decided to invite a guest over for the holiday. I called a senior center and they suggested Ilse. She was a stubborn 78-year-old lady, who favored sequined(亮片的) T-shirt...On Thanksgiving, within minute of arriving...like a surrogate(替代的)grandma. So when her only son Ralph died, I realized she was too upset to be left alone and helped her hire a caregiver. For me, she was like a family and I was the only one left in her tribe...At the end of the week, I received an early-morning phone call from her caregiver." Please come over now, "the woman said, her voice matter-of-fact." She's passed away." When I arrived, I saw Ilse lying on her bed, motionless, her eyes closed. I sat on the edge of the bed, too shocked to cry.教師在為學(xué)生講解此文時(shí),就可以采用前后語(yǔ)句聯(lián)讀的方法,幫助學(xué)生理解文意。首先,教師要引導(dǎo)學(xué)生通過(guò)一些重要詞句來(lái)解讀文本的內(nèi)容,如A few weeks before Thanksgiving one year交代了事情發(fā)生的時(shí)間,即感恩節(jié)的前幾周。I called a senior center and they suggested Ilse引出故事的主人公艾爾莎。She was a stubborn 78-year-old lady, who favored sequined(亮片的)T-shirt...交代了艾爾莎的基本信息及性格特點(diǎn)。So when her only son Ralph died, I realized she was too upset to be left alone and helped her hire a caregiver. 引出護(hù)工,進(jìn)而推動(dòng)故事情節(jié)的發(fā)展。"Please come over now," the woman said, her voice matter-of-fact."She's passed away."在故事的最后艾爾莎去世了。然后,教師再帶領(lǐng)學(xué)生根據(jù)剛剛前后語(yǔ)句的聯(lián)讀,仔細(xì)揣摩分析文意,引導(dǎo)學(xué)生體味出這是一個(gè)傷感中帶著溫馨的獨(dú)居老人的小故事。最后,教師再引導(dǎo)學(xué)生從“是什么”“為什么”“怎么樣”等角度對(duì)短文進(jìn)一步深層解讀,提升學(xué)生對(duì)文本的體悟,從而為學(xué)生的讀后續(xù)寫(xiě)的順利進(jìn)行打下基礎(chǔ)。

        四、提煉整理語(yǔ)句:融入文本“延”思

        讀后續(xù)寫(xiě)要求學(xué)生結(jié)合文本內(nèi)容,在提煉整理文本語(yǔ)句的基礎(chǔ)上,找出文本的關(guān)鍵詞句,并結(jié)合自己對(duì)文本的整體感悟,表達(dá)出自己的想法。這就要求,一方面,教師要幫助學(xué)生有效提煉整理文本的語(yǔ)句,拓寬學(xué)生的思路,為學(xué)生讀后續(xù)寫(xiě)的順利進(jìn)行做好鋪墊和準(zhǔn)備。另一方面,教師要鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生通過(guò)對(duì)文本語(yǔ)句的提煉和整理,找到續(xù)寫(xiě)的切入點(diǎn),并在原文內(nèi)容的基礎(chǔ)上融入自己的想法,順利展開(kāi)續(xù)寫(xiě)。筆者以下面這篇短文的讀后續(xù)寫(xiě)為例,進(jìn)行分析和講解。Mr. Brown's house is close to his office, so he can drive home for lunch every day. But every time he drove home at noon, he found that there were many cars outside the house, so his car couldn't be put. He had to drive somewhere else to park his car...He said he couldn't use the word "police"... made a blue board with white letters: Polite Notice-No Parking! "Oh," Mrs Brown said, "you told me you weren't going to use the word 'police'..." "Really!"he asked. "Look again." She began to laugh, "You are really clever."布朗先生住的地方離單位很近,因此每天中午,他都開(kāi)車回家吃午飯。每天他開(kāi)車回到家后,總會(huì)發(fā)現(xiàn)有很多車停在他家門前,導(dǎo)致他的車沒(méi)地方可停,這讓他非常生氣……于是,布朗先生決定制作一塊提示牌阻止別人停車,可是他不能使用“police”這個(gè)詞。他想了好久,最后制作了一塊藍(lán)板,上面寫(xiě)著白字:“友情提醒——禁止停車”……教師在帶領(lǐng)學(xué)生閱讀這篇短文時(shí),可以先引導(dǎo)學(xué)生提煉整理出文本的關(guān)鍵語(yǔ)句“He said he couldn't use the word ‘police...”“Polite Notice-No Parking!”然后,教師再引導(dǎo)學(xué)生聯(lián)系短文最后布朗夫人的話,“You are really clever.”想想布朗夫人夸獎(jiǎng)布朗先生的原因,找出上面兩個(gè)句子的關(guān)聯(lián)。通過(guò)聯(lián)系前后文,學(xué)生很快就會(huì)發(fā)現(xiàn),在英文中“police”和“polite”書(shū)寫(xiě)非常相像,“Polite Notice-No Parking!”很容易被誤認(rèn)為是“Police Notice-No Parking”,而警察提醒的效果顯然會(huì)更好,所以布朗夫人才會(huì)說(shuō)“You are really clever.”。最后,教師再讓學(xué)生根據(jù)前面的分析,對(duì)接下來(lái)可能會(huì)發(fā)生的事情展開(kāi)聯(lián)想,“再也沒(méi)有人在家門前停車……”或“有人發(fā)現(xiàn)了他提示牌的秘密……”

        五、回看完善表達(dá):審視推理“靚”處

        要想學(xué)生在進(jìn)行讀后續(xù)寫(xiě)時(shí),寫(xiě)出切合文本原意的內(nèi)容,一方面,教師要引導(dǎo)學(xué)生在回看完善文本的過(guò)程中,多表達(dá)自己的想法,從而使學(xué)生在聚焦文本核心要點(diǎn)的前提下,進(jìn)一步獲得深層感悟。另一方面,教師要幫助學(xué)生深入探知文本的思維發(fā)散點(diǎn),引導(dǎo)學(xué)生從不同的思維視角、不同的切入點(diǎn)去嘗試?yán)m(xù)寫(xiě)。如下面這篇短文:My mother once asked me, which part of my body is the most important part? I thought sound very important, so I said, "My ears, Mommy."... It wasn't until after grandma died last year that we all cried. We said our last goodbye to grandma. Mom asked me, "Do you know the most important body part yet, my dear?" I was surprised when she asked me this now...How you answer shows whether you have learned about life"... "All your previous answers-ears, eyes, hands, heart...all very important things need you and others."隨著個(gè)人成長(zhǎng)經(jīng)歷的變化,對(duì)同一問(wèn)題在不同時(shí)期會(huì)有不同的思考視角,得出的結(jié)論也不盡相同?!笆裁词亲钪匾??”這篇短文通過(guò)作者在不同階段對(duì)這個(gè)問(wèn)題的不同想法,指明“你以前認(rèn)為最重要的耳朵、眼睛、手、心……所有這些都是非常重要的器官,但他們都是在你這個(gè)人存在的情況下,才有意義”。教師在帶領(lǐng)學(xué)生閱讀這篇短文時(shí),首先要讓學(xué)生談一談自己對(duì)“All very important things need you and others.”這句話的理解,然后引導(dǎo)學(xué)生通過(guò)回看文本,總結(jié)出短文的主題思想“自己才是最重要的”,最后再引導(dǎo)學(xué)生根據(jù)文章的主題思想進(jìn)行進(jìn)一步推理續(xù)寫(xiě)。

        六、結(jié)語(yǔ)

        綜上所述,在帶領(lǐng)學(xué)生進(jìn)行讀后續(xù)寫(xiě)時(shí),一方面,教師要引導(dǎo)學(xué)生反復(fù)閱讀原文,多給學(xué)生提供深入探知文本的機(jī)會(huì),以此深化學(xué)生對(duì)文本的理解,使學(xué)生能夠在聚焦文本表達(dá)要點(diǎn)的前提下,生成對(duì)文本的多元認(rèn)知,由此及彼地理解文意,找出文本的關(guān)鍵詞句,從而為學(xué)生順利完成讀后續(xù)寫(xiě)打下基礎(chǔ)。另一方面,教師要引導(dǎo)學(xué)生主動(dòng)參與到文本的品讀和感悟中,啟發(fā)學(xué)生從多角度對(duì)文本進(jìn)行解讀和切入,從而發(fā)散學(xué)生的思維,拓展學(xué)生的視野,使學(xué)生的書(shū)面表達(dá)更具深度和廣度,讓學(xué)生的讀后續(xù)寫(xiě)更加精彩紛呈。

        From Here to There: the "Key Points" of Written Expression of Thinking in College Entrance Examination English

        Abstract: Writing after reading is a new written expression examination content in college entrance examination English. Writing after reading requires students to find out the core points of the text on the basis of accurate understanding of the text, and continue to write a short article with logical connection, plot and structure in combination with the given paragraph beginning and key words. This paper takes the continuous writing after reading to express the flexible use of thinking as the discussion point, discusses the combination of students' text reading and writing needs, and guides students to find the entry point and divergence point of the given text by using the methods of key point excerpt, core vocabulary reflection, joint reading of front and back sentences, sentence sorting and back reading, so as to improve students' written expression ability.
