Step1 Writing

四、For Exercise 19 on page 71，ask the students to answer the questions about the school life .Then get the students to read the email from a Canadian student on page 72 and decide which paragraph talk about. Then read the tips of writing email.

Teacher： All right. Now let us read this email from a Candian student. Do exercise 20 and try to get more details about it to fill the form on the screen.

五、Ask the students to read the tips of writing email. Then show the tips on the blackboard .

Writing an email message

（1）Write the topic of your message on the subject line.

（2）Keep your email as short as possible.

（3）Answer the questions if you reply to an email.

（4）Check your email for spelling errors and other mistakes.

（5）Write your name at the end of your message.

六、Ask the students to write an email，using the points in Exercise 19. later ask some students to show their emails.

A sample version：

Hi，Chris，

Thanks for asking me about my school life. I usually get up at 6 oclock. After having my breakfest，I leave home at 7 oclock. I usually go to school by bike. The journey takes about 10 minutes.

We learn many subjects，for example，chinese，mathematics，English，physics，chemistry，geography，history and so on. My fovourite subjects are English and history. But I dont like to learn physics. I think it is too difficult for me to master it and it is boring.

The first lesson starts at 7：30，which is the time for individule study，reading Chinese or English loudly. After that，we have another four lessons in the morning. At 10 oclock，we begin to do some morning exercises. School is over at 12 oclock.

I usually have lunch at 12：30. After that，I usually have a nap. After school，I often prepare for the next days lessons. Sometimes，I surf the internet. Sometimes I watch some Tv programs，like sports news. I dont go to bed untill 11：00 pm.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays，I go to football training given by the football club. I think its an exciting sport. I like it very much and I play in the school team twice a week. I think I have a busy，colorful and happy school life.

Step3 homework

Ask the students to collect materials about their school. Finish the task to write a brochure about their school，including the best classroom，the best activity，some special features and slogan.
