        Talking about English Classroom Teaching

        【Abstract】Classroom teaching is a subject of science and it is also a subject of art. so designs of classroom teaching should follow certain principles; and it ought to have the general characteristics of art. Here, I will talk about my views in English classroom teaching, and I hope that I can get some comments , I hope sincerely that as many as possible mistakes will be pointed out, in order that I can correct them, so as to improve my English teaching level.

        【Key words】classroom teaching; ability; principle

        Classroom teaching is a subject of science, so designs of classroom teaching should follow certain principles:

        ①Objectives- oriented principle;

        ②Enlightenment thinking principle;

        ③Independent activity principle.

        Guided by these principles, we analyze the whole content of the text which will be taught and design the teaching objectives, and then the teaching methods in teaching process, at last, to design what will be written on the blackboard.

        Classroom teaching is a subject of art, so it ought to have general characteristics of art, and they are different from other arts:

        ①Figurativeness;

        ②Creativeness;

        ③Practicalness.

        The common classroom teaching art includes:

        1.The skills of putting questions to students.

        (1)Why to ask.

        ①To stir up studentsinterests.

        ②For the students to grasp the importances and difficulties.

        ③For the students to develop their abilities of thinking.

        (2)What to ask.

        ①The questions which will be asked will stir up students interests.

        ②The questions which will be asked should be targeted.

        ③The questions which will be asked are useful for the students to grasp the importances and difficulties.

        (3)How to ask.

        ①To ask good students at first, then better students, then poor students.

        ②To ask creatively;

        ③The teacher must hold the measure and pay attention to the studentsacceptability, the questions which will be asked should be from easy to difficult.

        2.language skills of classroom teaching.

        (1)To use English classroom teaching languages correctly and properly.

        (2)To use gesture languages if necessary.

        (3)To encourage the students whenever and wherever possible.

        3.The skills of organizing classroom teaching.

        (1)Organize beginning. Well begun is half done.

        (2)stir up a small climax. To make classroom atmosphere active, to arouse the studentsenthusiasm and initiative effectively.

        (3)End of the class. Look after both sides, start well and end well. For example, end the class in some languages which can make the students think over and over again and to endless aftertastes.

        Classroom teaching now has become an important way of developing studentsabilities of creation and innovation. Then, what aspects should we start with?

        (1)Renew teacherconcepts, and return the initiative of studying to students themselves;

        (2)Create situations and provide students with chances for them to bring forth new ideas;

        (3)Reform evaluation methods. Praise is like sunlight. Every student likes to be praised, every student is eager to be encouraged. So in teaching, we must find out and seize the students flash points and give them good appraisals in time, so as to improve their confidence and courage of English studying.
