很多英語(yǔ)老師在討論英語(yǔ)中考如何取勝時(shí),都認(rèn)同一句話:“得閱讀理解者,得天下?!笨梢?jiàn)重視閱讀教學(xué)和閱讀訓(xùn)練勢(shì)在必行??墒悄壳拔覀兩絽^(qū)學(xué)校的學(xué)生存在閱讀速度慢、逐字逐句翻譯、生詞打斷閱讀思維等不良的閱讀習(xí)慣,學(xué)生英語(yǔ)閱讀理解能力的水平參差不齊,有待提高,閱讀策略的培養(yǎng)顯得尤為重要。為此,我堅(jiān)持“兩手抓”方針,一邊抓課堂,滲透培養(yǎng)閱讀策略;一邊抓課外訓(xùn)練,指導(dǎo)運(yùn)用閱讀技巧,雙線并行,有效地突破了閱讀難點(diǎn)。
一、立足教材,優(yōu)化課堂設(shè)計(jì),滲透閱讀策略
英語(yǔ)閱讀教學(xué)首先要充分利用新目標(biāo)英語(yǔ)教材中的3a和Reading兩個(gè)板塊,優(yōu)化課堂設(shè)計(jì),教授學(xué)生必要的閱讀策略,引導(dǎo)學(xué)生了解并熟練運(yùn)用閱讀策略,改正低效的閱讀習(xí)慣,發(fā)展閱讀技能,逐步提高自主語(yǔ)言學(xué)習(xí)能力和綜合語(yǔ)言運(yùn)用能力。
【案例1】新目標(biāo)英語(yǔ)九年級(jí)第六單元Reading.
Step 1:Warming up
Groupwork:Please describe Mr. Zhangs meals.
Eat…for …= Have…for…
T: This is your math teacher, Mr. Zhang. Lets look at his meals and discuss: What do you think of his meals? It is healthy? Why? How about you?
Step 2: Reading (Before you read)
課件呈現(xiàn)Lindas Diet和Jacks Diet, 同學(xué)們做Pairwork討論交流: Which diet is healthier and why?請(qǐng)部分同學(xué)在全班表達(dá)觀點(diǎn)。老師在評(píng)價(jià)的過(guò)程中導(dǎo)入目標(biāo)詞匯:to be honest, be bad for, stay away from sugar, are in agreement, increase the risk of cancer.板書(shū)這些詞匯并逐步引導(dǎo)學(xué)生猜測(cè)詞義。
T:We are all in agreement, Lindas diet is healthier. Because the foods that Linda eats are healthy. And those that Jack eats are bad for health. To be honest, coke tastes better than water. Sometimes we also like to drink coffee and coke, eat some sweet desserts. From now on, we should try to stay away from them.
Step 3: Reading -Fast reading
T:Just now you showed your opinions on healthy diet. How important is keeping healthy to us? A group of young people got together to discuss this question. Please read parts of their discussion.
Read quickly and answer the following questions:How many people are talking in the passage? Who are they?
Step 4: Reading- Careful reading
TASK(1): Read and complete the chart
TASK(2):Finish 3b & 3c
TASK(3): Read again and answer: What is Peters/ Lauras / Tonys opinion?
Ask students to read the passage again and answer the following questions:①What does the word “those” in the last paragraph refer to? ②Whose diet is the healthiest, Peters, Tonys or Lauras?③Where may you read this article? In a book, a newspaper or a magazine? ④What does the writer want to tell us? (Whats the main idea of the passage?)
Step 5: Project
Ask students to talk about “How to keep a balanced diet” in groups. First, the teacher can list the students advice on the blackboard. Then ask some students to say something about it. Try to make it a short passage.
Step 6: Homework: Write a short passage “How to Keep a Balanced Diet” in English.
