【學(xué)情分析】

本節(jié)課的教學(xué)對象是八年級學(xué)生，他們已經(jīng)掌握了一定的語言知識，且樂于用英語表達自己的觀點，但語言應(yīng)用能力和高階思維能力有待提高。課堂應(yīng)以學(xué)生為主體，基于學(xué)生的年齡特點、認知水平、生活經(jīng)歷和興趣愛好，設(shè)計兼具趣味性和挑戰(zhàn)性的課堂活動，激發(fā)學(xué)生參與課堂的熱情，增強學(xué)生的獲得感，培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的學(xué)科核心素養(yǎng)。

【教學(xué)目標(biāo)】

1.通過快速閱讀，了解線上旅行的方法，并獲取文章中關(guān)于紐約的主要景點及景點特色信息。

2.通過細致閱讀，比較中西方文化差異，思考作者的寫作意圖后，深入討論在線旅行的利與弊。

3.學(xué)會利用網(wǎng)絡(luò)獲取有用的信息，并能運用所學(xué)介紹自己的家鄉(xiāng)。

4.在生活中養(yǎng)成勞逸結(jié)合、健康向上的生活方式。

【教學(xué)重難點】

引導(dǎo)學(xué)生通過深入閱讀，比較中西方文化差異，思考作者的寫作意圖；嘗試運用所學(xué)介紹自己的家鄉(xiāng)；理解健康生活的重要性，養(yǎng)成勞逸結(jié)合、健康向上的生活方式。

【教學(xué)過程】

Step 1:Lead-in.（2 minutes）

T:Good morning,boys and girls.Just now,we enjoyed some beautiful pictures of places of inter?est around the world.Do you like them?Do you want to travel to these places?

Ss:Yes,Ido.

T:But can we travel around the world like be?fore?Why?

S:No.We can’t travel like before because of COVID-19.

T:What should we do if we want to travel around theworld?

Ss:Wecan travel around theworld online.

T:Great!And I have good news for you.Our school will have a study tour around the world this summer.But we need a tour guide online.Would you like to be our guide?

Ss:Yes!

T:To be a good tour guide online is not easy,you need to finish the following tasks:learn to use the website;learn about the places to visit;use a better guided language and have a guide tour prac?tice.Are you ready?

Ss:OK!

Step 2:Before travelling.（5 minutes）

Activity1:Read and find out basic information.

T:First,let’s try to learn to use the website.What is the name of it?

S:Around the World in Eight Hours.

T:What information can you get from it?

S:We can spend eight hours travelling around theworld.

T:Great!So reading the title can help us get some key information.

Activity 2:Read and complete.

T:You did a good job.You have learned to use the website so quickly.I am really proud of you!Boys and girls,do you know which city we will visit today?

S:New York.

T:How do you know that?

S:I find out the answer from the picture on page36.It says“You have chosen New York”.

T:Exactly!So reading the pictures can also help us get more useful information.

【教學(xué)反思】

一、以德潤心：聚焦主題內(nèi)容，創(chuàng)設(shè)主題語境

本節(jié)課主題語境的創(chuàng)設(shè)，滲透著鼓勵學(xué)生勇于嘗試、樂于展示、敢于分享的自信心培養(yǎng)策略。從標(biāo)題、前言的閱讀技巧到非連續(xù)性文本的閱讀策略，從主要景點的梳理到作者寫作特色和寫作意圖的揣摩，從對旅行方式和意義的思考到模擬導(dǎo)游的實戰(zhàn)演練，學(xué)生能從每一次的交流互動、匯報展示中，體驗到成功的快樂，獲得進一步學(xué)習(xí)的動力。

二、以文育德：研讀語篇內(nèi)容，挖掘核心價值

本篇文章的主體部分是對紐約市曼哈頓島幾個著名景點的介紹。這幾個景點各具特色，如何讓學(xué)生通過游覽這四個景點，體悟美國文化的精髓？

筆者利用思維導(dǎo)圖幫助學(xué)生梳理文章中提到的紐約的主要景點及其特色，接下來采用問題鏈的形式層層推進，帶領(lǐng)學(xué)生深入解讀文本，緊扣“a hard day’s work”，讓學(xué)生體會紐約作為流光溢彩的國際大都市，是機遇與挑戰(zhàn)并存的，引導(dǎo)學(xué)生自主思考紐約被稱為“the Big Apple”的原因。筆者抓住教育契機，將學(xué)生的思考引向更深處：How can we pick up the big apple in New York?文本內(nèi)容的深入挖掘，為課堂生成搭建了支架。筆者在帶領(lǐng)學(xué)生探究文本主題意義的過程中，潤物無聲地做到了“以文育德”。

三、以德育人：創(chuàng)新學(xué)習(xí)內(nèi)容，探究主題意義

本文介紹的是紐約的風(fēng)景名勝，教師在引導(dǎo)學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)、理解、鑒賞西方文化的同時，應(yīng)教育學(xué)生講好中國故事，學(xué)會用英語將中國文化傳播出去，培養(yǎng)有中國根基的青少年。因此，筆者在本節(jié)課的最后環(huán)節(jié)設(shè)計了微寫作任務(wù)，讓學(xué)生用英語介紹自己的家鄉(xiāng)。課堂上，當(dāng)學(xué)生自豪地介紹自己家鄉(xiāng)的景點時，那份自信讓人動容。

整節(jié)課的設(shè)計以落實“立德樹人”為根本目標(biāo)，關(guān)注學(xué)生學(xué)科核心素養(yǎng)的培養(yǎng)。也許，這不是一節(jié)完美的課，但當(dāng)學(xué)生走出課堂時，他們的心中除了遠方，更多的是自己生長的這片土地。他們明白了只有自信、勇敢、勤奮，才能逐夢遠方。
