Health experts agree that practicing social isolation （隔離） has slowed the spread of COVID?19. Even though youre keeping 6 feet apart from others， it doesnt mean you need to quit all human interaction， however. Lets look at some ways that you can keep in touch with your friends and loved ones.

Media communication is so advanced nowadays. Why not make use of it？ Get creative with apps on your phone or tablet and organize a movie?streaming party with your friends. Set up a group chat to discuss and critique your selection. Schedule a designated time at specific intervals and take turns choosing the movie or TV series. Plan a video chat with a friend， or organize a group of friends online.

Kids still want to celebrate their birthday， even if they cant have a group of friends over for cake and presents. Contact the parents of your childs friends and set up a time for the kids to “visit”. Create colorful signs to post in the yard， and encourage each child to honk their cars horn and wave as they drive by the house. Depending on your preference， the children can drop off gifts or place them on the lawn. Once the kids return home， you can set up a video chat with the group to watch your child open the gifts.

Social distancing can lead to a number of physical and mental health concerns， such as weight gain， high blood pressure and depression. Staying active is critical during this difficult time. Now that the weather has warmed up， its time to go outside and get some exercise and fresh air. Taking the dog for a walk or doing some yard work will do wonders for your soul， and it will also get your blood pumping. Nobody wants to feel socially isolated， so get creative， stay active and enjoy time with your friends.
