摘要：英語的進(jìn)行時(shí)態(tài)一般情況下表示的是某一時(shí)刻或某一階段正在進(jìn)行的動(dòng)作，但在有些情況下，卻不表示正在進(jìn)行的動(dòng)作，而是表示諸如感情色彩、委婉意義等。

英語的進(jìn)行時(shí)態(tài)一般情況下表示的是某一時(shí)刻或某一階段正在進(jìn)行的動(dòng)作，但在下列所述情況下，它并不表示正在進(jìn)行的動(dòng)作。

一、進(jìn)行時(shí)表示感情色彩

進(jìn)行時(shí)與always，constantly，continually，for ever等頻度副詞連用時(shí)，表示厭惡、責(zé)備、不滿、贊揚(yáng)等感情色彩。

1．The girl is always asking such silly questions.那姑娘總是好問這樣一些愚不可及的問題。（厭惡）

2．You are for ever leaving your things about.你總是把東西亂丟。（責(zé)備）

3．He is constantly thinking of helping others when they are in trouble.他總是想著幫助那些遇到麻煩的人。（贊揚(yáng)）

4．She is constantly changing her mind.她老是改變主意。（不滿）

5．Bill is continually working in the office.比爾總是在辦公室工作到很晚。（惱怒或感嘆）

二、進(jìn)行時(shí)表示漸進(jìn)的過程

一般來講，瞬時(shí)性動(dòng)詞或靜態(tài)動(dòng)詞是不用于進(jìn)行時(shí)態(tài)的，但有些瞬時(shí)性動(dòng)詞或靜態(tài)動(dòng)詞的進(jìn)行時(shí)卻表示一個(gè)漸進(jìn)的過程。例如：

1．He is beginning to understand it.他逐漸開始明白了。

2．Im forgetting my English.我逐漸荒廢了我的英語。

3．The wounded boy is dying.那受傷的孩子快要死了。

三、進(jìn)行時(shí)表示委婉的意義

1．Im hoping to ask you about something discussed at todays meeting.我希望能問一下今天會(huì)議上所討論的有些情況。

這種用法在語言上顯得含蓄，若改用現(xiàn)在時(shí)則顯得不太禮貌。

2．I was wondering if you could help me with this problem.我想你能不能幫我一個(gè)忙來解決這個(gè)問題。

四、進(jìn)行時(shí)表示將來的意味

有些表示位移的動(dòng)詞，如go，come，leave，arrive，return，start，stay等，其進(jìn)行時(shí)可表示最近按計(jì)劃或安排要做的事情，在這種情況下常跟一個(gè)表示將來的時(shí)間狀語。

1．Peter is coming to help us tonight.彼得今晚要來幫我們。

2．When are you starting？你何時(shí)動(dòng)身？

3．Im staying at home this weekend.本周末我要待在家。

有時(shí)也可用于一些非位移動(dòng)詞。

4．Im meeting you after class.課后我找你。

5．She is buying a new bike soon.她不久將買一輛新自行車。

五、進(jìn)行時(shí)用于同過去進(jìn)行對(duì)比

1．Mary is working harder than she used to.瑪麗比過去用功多了。

2．We are having more and more money today.今天我們手里的錢越來越多了。

六、進(jìn)行時(shí)用于強(qiáng)調(diào)

Be的進(jìn)行式，有時(shí)可用于強(qiáng)調(diào)某一個(gè)暫時(shí)性特征，而be的一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)則表示一個(gè)永久的特征。

1．You are not being polite.你這樣是不禮貌的。

Cf：You are not polite.你是個(gè)不禮貌的人。

2．Youre being stupid.你這個(gè)樣子是很愚蠢的。

Cf:Youre stupid.你是個(gè)愚蠢的人。

七、進(jìn)行時(shí)表示重復(fù)性動(dòng)作

1．The boy is jumping with joy.那男孩高興得在跳呢！

2．Some one is knocking.有人敲門。

3．Ive been having a lot of colds recently.最近我老是感冒。

八、進(jìn)行時(shí)表示可能

1．Hell be telling you about it tonight.我今晚會(huì)告訴你這事兒的。

2．He wont be waiting for you at such a time.在這種時(shí)候他是不會(huì)等你的。

九、進(jìn)行時(shí)表示原因

1．-Have you finished your homework yet？

-No，I was helping my mother in the kitchen all day yesterday.

-你做完作業(yè)了嗎？

-沒有呢，因?yàn)樽蛱煲徽煳叶紟蛬寢屧趶N房干活。

2．When I say that，Im thinking of the students.我這樣說是為學(xué)生著想。

十、進(jìn)行時(shí)表示結(jié)果

If I fail to turn up by seven oclock，I will not be coming at all.如果七點(diǎn)鐘我還不來的話，我就干脆不來了。
