Colorful India
India is the second most populous country in the world, with rich cultural heritage and tourism resources, and the Taj Mahal and Sun Temple, Konarak have a rich cultural heritage. India is one of the “BRICS” countries and one of the fastest growing countries in the world, and has become an important exporter of software, finance and other services in the world.
As an envoy of Sino-Indian friendship, I was invited to visit this land of ancient civilization and saw a colorful country. There, the bazaars big and small are full of splendor and color. In the Taj Mahal, I was moved by the historical atmosphere precipitated over the years... The enchanting scenery, gorgeous costumes, unique songs and dances, and delicious food that makes the taste buds bloom; I wandered around the land and slowly interpreted its colorfulness.
When I arrived at Jaipur, the world-famous “Pink City”, I was immediately impressed by her bright colors. Jaipur is affection- ately known as the “Rose City”, because Jaipur is as dazzling as the pink rose, imaginative and inexhaustible. I held my breath and gazed at the “Wind Palace”, the Hawa Mahal Palace. The so-called“Palace” is actually just a stack of towering pink wall. The wall is densely packed with 953 windows, hollowed out of red sandstone in a semi-octagonal shape. The windows are cleverly designed, and you can feel the wind blowing to keep you company while standing in any corner of the Palace.
The enchanting colors of India come from the magnificent saris worn by women. Whether it’s the bustling streets of Delhi or the secluded country lanes, the gorgeous, flowing and dancing “saris”are everywhere, and they sway like a fluttering landscape.
