“技藝”之于建筑的重要性自當(dāng)不言而喻，不過要想將建筑中的“技”（technics）與“藝”（crafts）轉(zhuǎn)變?yōu)椤凹妓嚒?，卻也并非字面上的組合那般輕而易舉。對于“技藝”而言，“藝”是目的，“技”是途徑，因此“技藝”意味著將“技術(shù)”轉(zhuǎn)化為“藝術(shù)”。在建筑之中，技術(shù)是不可或缺的存在，但卻不是充分必要的表現(xiàn)內(nèi)容。如何將技術(shù)轉(zhuǎn)變?yōu)榻ㄖ用娴乃囆g(shù)？這需要我們用一種建筑學(xué)的視角去看待技術(shù)及其運用。

As is known to all,“technique and art”are both important to architecture,but it is not so easy to combine “technics” and“craft s” to realize “technique and art”.“Technique and art” mean transforming “technics”into “art”,here,art is the purpose while technic is the method.Technology is indispensable for architecture,but it is not a sufficient and necessary expression content.Only if we regard technology and its application from an architectural perspective,can we ultimately transform technology into architectural art.

Based on this idea,“AT special” will present “the Renovation of Tianbao Cave District of Erlang Town” this time,which is very appropriate for us to re-examine the theme of “architectural technique and art”.It seems that people are used to equating the works of Jiakun Architects with “l(fā)ow technic strategies”.Perhaps it is the “l(fā)ow technic” in his early projects that made Liu Jiakun,so he is good at transforming technical problems into more creative design behavior.The “high intelligence” triggered by “l(fā)ow technic” has achieved the presentation of “technique and art”.

As the latest work of Jiakun Architects,the Renovation of Tianbao Cave District of Erlang Town can not only be regarded as an epitome of Liu Jiakun's recent design concept,but also convey his continued architectural thinking.Whether from the operation objects at the tectonic level like terrain,materials,structure and details,or the presentation results of light,form,use and space experience,the Renovation of Tianbao Cave District of Erlang Town is a practice that includes Jiakun Architects’consistent understanding of technology and other expressions of “technique and art”.
