Narrator：It is the Warring States Time（戰(zhàn)國(guó)時(shí)期）. Seven big states have been warring for many years. During this time， many wise men appear on the political stage（政治舞臺(tái)） and make the most of their talents（才干）.

Xu Gong walks on the street with a fan in his hand.

Fans：Xu Gong， Xu Gong， I admire（欽慕） you！ You are so beautiful. You are so handsome.

Journalist：Hello， Xu Gong. I’m the journalist of Daily Qi. We heard that you are the third beauty in our state. How do you feel about that？

Xu Gong：I want to thank my fans. They support me all the time. I’ll also thank my teachers. They teach me a lot. I’ll visit some wise men these days and learn more from them.

Journalist：Thank you！

Zou Ji is reading the newspaper.

Zou Ji：Xu Gong is the third beauty in our state. Are you kidding me？ Who is more beautiful， Xu Gong or me？

Zou Ji：Xu Gong is so beautiful and clever. How can I compare to him？ But why do so many people think that I am more beautiful？ My wife thinks I’m more beautiful， because she loves me. The maid thinks I’m more beautiful， because she is scared of me. My friend thinks I’m more beautiful， because he needs my help. What about our state？ I want to remonstrate（向……進(jìn)諫） the king. He must be on the alert（警惕著）.

The king of Qi sits on his throne（王座）.

Minister A：Your majesty， you are the greatest king in the world.

Minister B：Your majesty， you’re wise and talented. Our state is large and strong， no one can defeat us！

Zou Ji：My king， our whole state is under your control. There isn’t a single one of your concubines（妃子） or attendants（侍從） who dare to oppose（反對(duì)） you. There isn’t a single high official who isn’t afraid of you. As a result， there may be nothing true left！

King：Right！ All those can point out my faults in person（當(dāng)面） shall receive the highest rewards.

Upon hearing this news， the neighboring states of Yan， Zhao， Han and Wei all come to pay homage to（向……朝拜） the King of Qi.

King：Zou Ji， thank you for your warning. Now our state is larger and more powerful. In the future， I’ll unify（統(tǒng)一） the other states， and we’ll be the most powerful state soon.
