        An Analysis of the Strategy of Converting English Students with Learning Difficulties into Middle School Students

        For the subject of English, it is a headache point for many students and parents. Due to students personal, school, family and other reasons, a large number of students who are difficult in learning English appear. With the improving of grade, those students who have problems in learning English are becoming more and more prominent. Moreover, these problems may lead them to lose their basic interest and their confidence in learning English well. This paper analyzes the reasons why students are difficult in learning English in junior high school students, and puts forward the measures how to transform.

        1. The Causes of Junior High School Students with English Learning Difficulties

        1.1 Disharmony Between Teacher and Student

        Many students with learning difficulties are not poor in all subjects, a part of them only are poor in English. Under the influence of examination-oriented education, our teachers always use test scores as the standard for testing students, and schools use pass rates, average scores and class indicators to measure a teachers teaching quality, which results in the failure to face all students in our teaching process. Even it is not enough to take consideration into those students with learning difficulties. Once they are opposed to teachers, they often lose interest in this subject.

        1.2 Family Attention Is Insufficient

        According to the survey, quite a few of students with English learning difficulties are left-behind children. Parents are forced to make living and stay outside all day, and those are with no time to take care of their children and family cooperation. For lack of education supervision and ability of language learning, the children havent realized the importance of study yet, not to mention good hubits.

        1.3 Lack of Interest in Learning English

        In English learning, students with learning difficulties often have poor grades, incorrect attitudes and unclear learning goals. With the increase of grade, the increase of learning content, the improvement of requirements, the ability is getting worse. Some students have poor self-control ability, usually play, can not resist the temptation, and can not insist on learning, once the results are prone to abandon the idea of self-abdication.

        2. The Transformation Strategy of the Students with English Learning Difficulties

        2.1 To Improve the Professional Quality of Teachers and Build a Good Relationship Between Teachers and Students

        Strengthen the training of English teachers, improve their professional quality, and try to create an environment for students to learn English. Make full use of multimedia teaching, enrich the content and form of English learning, stimulate students interest in learning. Let students watch English cartoon stories regularly to deepen their understanding of sentences and enhance their lasting interest in English.

        2.2 Working with Parents to Promote the Development of Students with Learning Disabilities

        Parents are the first teachers of students, and family education plays an unmatched role in school education. More communication and cooperation with parents is an effective way.

        2.3 To Respect, Understand, and Care for Students with Learning Difficulties

        Students with learning difficulties often become inferiority complex because of their poor academic performance, and not very close to teachers and classmates. In fact, they also want to be close to teachers, students, teachers, students understanding, respect and trust. Therefore, the primary task of teachers is to respect the personality of students with learning difficulties, to understand the mentality of students with learning difficulties, and even to have a preference, so that they can experience the teachers love and ardent expectations.
