        Analysis of optimization design of interesting teaching of English grammar in Senior High School

        In the high school English teaching, grammar teaching content is very important. However, at present ,in the teaching design and strategy most of the teachers is still using the traditional “chalk and talk”, the teaching model does not attach importance to the students participation, which leads to the dull interest in English grammar classes. This paper analyzes the problems existing in English grammar class in senior high school and puts forward some suggestions for improving grammar class interest. It is hoped that it can help the senior English teachers.

        Grammar knowledge is an important part of high school English language learning, and it is also the basis of learning English well. But now the high school English grammar course learning is generally boring, students in the traditional teaching methods are carried out under the guidance of teachers for grammar knowledge; teachers teach the students tiredly, it is difficult to achieve the desired effect. And interest teaching is a student-centered teaching method. It requires creating a relaxed and harmonious classroom learning environment so that students can improve their grammar knowledge system in the process of active participation.

        1. Take example from life

        In grammar class, students are not impressed with grammar if they use only the sentences in the text to understand grammar. Therefore, we should draw lessons from the classroom or life or students familiar with the matter. For example, when I talk about the non-finite verb, I ask the question: “To finish my homework alone is really hard for me, how can this sentence be expressed in another way?” The students suddenly perked up and raised their hands to answer the question. “Finishing my homework alone is really hard for me”, students master the grammar in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. As soon as I got to class, I gave each student a color note to write their learning experience in a non-finite verb. The students immediately felt that language and life were so close that their interest and motivation immediately aroused again.

        2. Introduce classical English songs into grammar lessons

        The nature of the grammar course determines its dull nature, but the teacher should carefully design and make the grammar class lively and enthusiastic. The use of song material is a good way to stimulate students interest in learning. Yesterday once more, for example, can be used as a model for learning various clauses, and also as a text for learning non finite verbs. The classical English songs are numerous, and their use value is higher. Choosing the proper English songs according to the target grammar can get twice the result with half the effort.

        3. Activate grammar rules with games

        The new curriculum standards require full play of the initiative of students, so in grammar classes, teachers should design various teaching activities, so that the classroom "move". Students love playing games, teachers can design “Solitaire game”. Take the subject clause for example: S1:It is John that broke the window; S2:It is Jim that repair the window; S3:It is Lilei that cleans the window; S4:It is Han Meimei that protects the window. In this open practice, students not only practice listening and oral expression, but also train their thinking ability, and they also deepen their understanding of grammar, so that grammar teaching is easy and efficient.

        In short, interesting teaching method is one of the most effective methods to improve the teaching efficiency of English grammar teaching in senior high schools, in the use of interesting teaching method, teachers should take different mode of classroom organization, actively create language study situations by multimedia teaching methods according to the characteristics of the grammar knowledge, so that really put the student into the grammar knowledge ocean.
