ABSTRACT：With the development of the Internet，More and more people，Especially the young，Like using the network buzzwords in daily communication.Emergence of the phenomenon is related to the specific social environment.People create many network buzzwords and take the advantage of Internet to promote information spread .How do network buzzwords spread quickly and extensively with a magic power？Generally speaking，Network buzzwords have the following characteristics：Simplicity，Creati vity，F(xiàn)ull of humor，And aesthetics.It is worth noting that the skillful application of metaphor in network buzzwords.The participation of the rhetorical device bring new vitality to network buzzwords.This paper is concerned with the metaphor in network buzzwords and discusses the usages and functions of it.

Ⅰ.Introduction：

Network buzzwords， as a special kind of social language， is a mirror of human life that reflect different social environments.Rhetorical devices bring deeper meaning，uniqueness and vitality to network buzzwords.As we all know，network buzzwords occupy the position can not be ignored. Nowadays，more and more attention are paid to linguistic studies of network buzzwords. I picked out several representative examples of metaphor in network buzzwords .The character and functions of the its usages are analyzed carefully.[1]

Ⅱ. Metaphor in network buzzwords

In a metaphor，a word or expression that in language usage denotes one kind of things is applied to a distinctly different kind of things，without asserting a comparison.In our daily life，we can find the rhetoric device everywhere. Our daily communication and literary creation are deeply rely on metaphor， and network buzzwords are no exception.Cognitive linguistic proved that metaphor is not only a rhetorical device， but also a way of thinking.It is necessary to study its usage in network buzzwords and to explore the charm of it.[2]

Take the word “正能量”（positive energy）as an example.The phrase positive energy topped the list of Chinas buzzwords in 2012. As a matter of fact，it is a physical nouns. In general relativity， the positive energy theorem states that， assuming the dominant energy condition， the mass of an asymptotically flat spacetime is non- negative； furthermore， the mass is zero only for Minkowski spacetime. We are unfamiliar with the professional concept.British psychologist Richard Wiseman compare a person to an energy field which inspired by the inner potential and can make people to show a brand new self， more confident， more vibrant. Since that，the phrase became fashionable in all aspects of society.At present we use the phrase to describes an positive state.The government wants to create a positive energy mechanism. People want to live a life of positive energy.This is the magic of metaphor.The sentence “躺著也中槍” is a famous line from the films.From the literal point of view，it means a people got a shot while lying down.There are different meanings after the application of metaphor.People use the sentence to describe a situation that a man do nothing but to be attacked from others.This metaphor expresses people feel helpless towards the the selfishness， rudeness， indifference，distortion and abnormality of human nature in a innuendo way.The cartoon character，灰太狼（Grey Wolf），become a code word for the best husband a woman can have.There is even a song to sing that only marry Grey Wolf.Many stories characterize the wolf as a tricky and cruel animal. A cartoon and the metaphor device change the way people thought about wolf.It is also popular on the Internet[3- 4].endprint

From the above analysis， it is not difficult to see that metaphor is exist the spread process of the network buzzwords.In the internet language system，the rhetoric device metaphor lets the language vivid and easy to use.We can see the beauty of connotation in the usage. Metaphor is full of inspiration，we can be familiar with the events better and understand unfamiliar things. When we are exploring the nature of meaning，we can think positively， explore actively and bring up widespread thoughts through the device. It also provides a broad space for the development of vocabulary.[5]

Ⅲ.Conclusion

With the representative examples above，we can have a general understanding of the the metaphor in network buzzwords and their usages and functions.Through the above analysis， we realize that network buzzwords is a relatively new and open field and brings to people an entirely new experience which has never been touched. Thanks to the network buzzwords， people enjoy the glamour of language.Network buzzwords，especially there is so much magic，changes many things in peoples daily life.Network buzzwords is worth our attention and research. The rhetoric devices will undoubtedly bring to the development of network buzzwords positive vitality.The major device，metaphor， has been studied from very early time in other situation. It plays an important role in peoples language expression as a way of human cognitive world and its own.These are just a small parts，we still can see through the appearance to the essence of the network buzzwords .The metaphor hidden behind the network buzzwords and internalizes various rules of modern life.In a word，the study on metaphor in network buzzwords can let us have a better understanding of its connotation and promote the rationalization of practice and its return to reality.[6]
