Big Hero 6 is a 2014 American 3D computer-animated superhero action comedy film which was released on February 28， 2015 in the mainland.

Based on a Marvel comic， the film centers on a 14-year-old robotics prodigy Hiro. After his older brother Tadashi， who is a university student delving into robotics loses his life in a fire， the boy reprograms Tadashis Baymax， a health-care robot， into a fighting robot and forms a superhero team to investigate the truth behind the tragic accident.

The film received very positive reviews from audiences and critics and was a box office and commercial success， grossing $604 million worldwide. It won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature and was nominated for an Annie Award for Best Animated Feature and a Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film. It is designed by Hiros older brother， Tadashi， to “heal the sick and injured” as a personal health care assistant robot.
