Key shipbuilding enterprise: main force

Fujian Chuanzheng Shipbuilding Industry is a key shipbuilding enterprise in Fujian province, acting as the main force in the highquality development of the provincial shipbuilding and offshore engineering industry. In the first three quarters of 2022, the company completed a total industrial output value of 3.519 billion yuan, accounting for 77.4%of the annual plan of 4.549 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 28.5%, ranking in the forefront of the province's shipbuilding industry.

In terms of expanding the market,Fujian Chuanzheng Shipbuilding Industry focused on the new market trend, followed the new policy guidance,and strove for new batch orders. This year, it has undertaken orders of ten 1800TEU container ships, six 7500CEU PCTCs, eight 2900TEU container ships,one 3720kW electric tugboat, and two each of 22500 DWT bulk carriers,breeding platforms and 58-meter feeder vessels. Moreover, the company is currently seeking orders for 18500-ton oil/chemical tankers, 7500CEU PCTCs, large tuna seine vessels and other projects, in a bid to reach a new high and lay a solid foundation for subsequent development.

Furthermore, Fujian province has a number of backbone private shipbuilding enterprises with a wide range and a multitude of outlets,actively investing in the shipbuilding and offshore engineering industry,giving full play to their own advantages in technology, facilities, equipment,human resources, service, quality and other aspects, and contributing to the high-quality development of the shipbuilding and offshore engineering industry.

Wind power plate: diversified development

This year, the wind power sector of Fujian Chuanzheng Shipbuilding Industry has actively explored a new path of enterprise innovation and development, formulated new measures for diversified development,nurtured opportunities in the crisis,and opened up a new model in the changing situation. With joint efforts of all employees, by the end of September 2022, the company had achieved the industrial output value of 162% of the annual target, and the total profit had accounted for 92% of the annual target,and achieved very excellent results. The company attributed this mainly to four aspects of successful experience.

Firstly, industrial development was promoted through joint efforts and association between strong enterprises.Its wind power sector established the EPC appliance, participated in the offshore resource competition in the form of consortium, vigorously promoted the implementation of offshore wind power EPC demonstration projects in the province, and promoted the highquality development of the supporting industrial chain.

Secondly, it conducted diversified expansion, optimized the structure and created profit growth points. On the basis of adhering to the main businesses of wind power steel structure manufacturing, WTG hoisting, wind power operation and maintenance, the wind power sector actively promoted undertaking business diversification.Fuchuan Yifan grasped development trends of regional petroleum, chemical industry, nuclear power and other industrial chains, actively deployed in high value-added steel structure,petrochemical equipment, pressure vessels and other fields, and continued to enter the high-end product markets.China Railway Fuchuan undertook WTG maintenance, WTG demolition,WTG installation and other different types of construction projects, and further expanded businesses covering Fujian, Guangdong, Shanghai,Shandong and other regions. On the basis of consolidating ship services,Offshore Power O&P gave full play to the advantages of regional operation and maintenance, actively developed WTG proxy maintenance business,expanded O&P projects with Fujian as the center, gradually built a new pattern of diversified business, and achieved a new profit growth sector.

Thirdly, accelerating share reform,promoting IPO and continuously optimizing the capital structure. The wind power sector focused on the synchronous promotion of reform of institutions and mechanisms and business innovation and transformation,and actively implemented the threeyear action plan of SOE reform.Offshore Power O&P was selected as a high-tech enterprise for “Fujian Comprehensive Reform Action”,and IPO is progressing in an orderly manner. Fuchuan Yifan and China Railway Fuchuan is actively promoting the equity restructuring to optimize the equity structure and promote the healthy and sustainable development of the enterprise.

Yacht and sailing industry: adhere to the road of characteristic development

At present, Fujian province has more than 20 yacht and sailing manufacturing enterprises, distributed in Ningde, Fuzhou, Quanzhou, Xiamen,Zhangzhou, Nanping and other coastal and along-lake cities, forming a fairly reasonable industrial layout. Xiamen Hansheng Yacht Building, Xiamen Tangrong Yacht Industry, Hudson(Fujian) Yacht, Zhangzhou Shenzhou Shipbuilding Industry, and Fujian Blue Bay Yacht are largely exportoriented. Meanwhile, according to the needs of their own business and product characteristics, the yacht sailing enterprises in Fujian province took corresponding measures in harbor basin and wharf, yacht sales, yacht club,yacht driving training and services,yacht rental tourism, yacht equipment supply, etc, in a bid to form a layout most suitable for their own development,further promoting the sustained and steady development of the enterprise.

Through years of market cultivation, in order to meet the individualized needs of domestic and international customers, Fujian yacht and sailing enterprises have developed and produced wood, steel, aluminum alloy, fiberglass reinforced plastic sailing ships, FGRP luxury yachts and other small speed boats, further displaying product characteristics of each enterprise itself. For example,China's first large-scale professional racing sailboat “Flying Tiger”,developed by Hansheng Yacht, broke the situation that domestic large-scale racing sailboats relied on imports.The company's six series of multiple yachts have sold well all over the world and won the annual best international awards on several occasions. The antique barkentine “Flaneur Marco Polo” built by Fujian Haicheng Chongxing Shipyard for China’s Taiwan owner was modeled after the ancient famous “Fuchuan” meaning happiness ship, both with antique shape, and the use of modern high tech.

In the meantime, Fujian yacht and sailing enterprises attached great importance to unimpeded marketing channels, lost no time to make full use of the service platform built by relevant exhibitions and industry associations at home and abroad, and promoted enterprises to receive more orders,receive good orders, quickly build ships,and deliver good ships.

Moreover, Fujian province yacht sailing enterprises launched one after anothe smooth sales channels. For example, apart from providing agency model of service window responsible for undertaking new orders and aftersales services in the United States, New Zealand, Singapore and other countries,Hudson Yacht has developed new sales channels in China. As of May 2022,the company had held orders of more than 30 yachts and sailing boats, and the production is scheduled to 2024.Some enterprises have launched new measures for the integrated development of “tourism +” and “+ tourism”to further deepen the integrated development of culture and tourism,promote the cross-border integration and coordinated development of tourism and other industries, and gave birth to new business formats, created new value and promoted sustainable development.

Furthermore, in multiple outbreaks of the pandemic at home and abroad and obstructed personnel flow and logistics, in order to ensure the smooth delivery and export of yachts and sailboats, Fujian yacht companies shared information, took joint action, pooled their export yachts and sailboats in unified time at Xiamen port, loaded them all on the same freight liner. The “bundled export” is a kind of innovation under the new situation.
