On April 6, China-UK High-level Publishing Forum was held during the London Book Fair. Publishers from China and the UK met online in Beijing and London for the forum \"Publishing Cooperation Contributes to Global Technological Innovation\".
The forum was co-hosted by the Publishers Association of China and China National Publications Import and Export (Group) Co., Ltd., and co-organized by China Youth Publishing Group. Wu Shulin, Executive President of the Publishers Association of China, delivered a keynote speech, stating that China and the UK have a significant history of cooperation in academic publishing, and the opportunity to take an open stance should be seized, cooperation in information communication and exchange should be enhanced, close attention should be paid to new technologies in the publishing industry, and all should work together to contribute to the bright future of the world's publishing industry.
Stephen Lotinga, chief executive of the UK Publishers Association, noted the importance of the partnership between China and the UK, saying the two countries have made many achievements in publishing cooperation through platforms such as the London Book Fair and the Beijing International Book Fair. He added the two countries should further deepen publishing exchanges and make new contributions to global technological innovation.
Lin Peng, chief executive of China Science Publishing amp; Media Group Ltd., said high-level and high-quality technological publishing entailed opening-up and cooperation to serve the mission of technological innovation better, and encouraged the promotion of the integrated development, transformation, and upgrading of the publishing industry.
