一、教學(xué)目標(biāo)
1.知識目標(biāo)
1)學(xué)習(xí)和掌握新的詞匯:Thanksgiving, traditional, autumn, celebrate, prepare, mashed potatoes, mix
together, pepper, fill... with, oven, on a plate, cover…with, gravy, give thanks for, see….as, on special holidays.
2)學(xué)習(xí)并掌握火雞餐的制作過程。
First, mix together some bread pieces, onions, salt and pepper.
Next, fill the turkey with this bread mix.
Then, put the turkey in a hot oven and cook it for a few hours.
When it is ready, place the turkey on a large plate and cover it with gravy.
Finally, cut the turkey into thin pieces and eat the meat with vegetables like carrots and potatoes.

2.能力目標(biāo)
1)能夠復(fù)述感恩節(jié)的相關(guān)知識和火雞餐制作方法。

二、教學(xué)重難點
1.學(xué)習(xí)并掌握新的詞匯。

三、教學(xué)內(nèi)容與過程
Step I lead-in(3 分鐘)
1)展示中國節(jié)日的圖片并提問。 Do you know any special holidays in China?
2)展示國外節(jié)日的圖片:What festivals do you know in western countries?
3)師生問答:What traditional food do we eat to celebrate Dragon Boat Festival?
We eat zongzi to celebrate Dragon Boat Festival.
What traditional food do we ear to celebrate Spring Festival?
We eat dumplings to celebrate Spring Festival.
Do you know any traditional food in the USA? It's turkey.
設(shè)計意圖:引起興趣,讓教學(xué)更自然生動。同時幫助學(xué)生理解重點單詞:traditional,celebrate,special holidays ,turkey.
Step 2 Learn(10 分鐘)
How to make a turkey dinner?
1)Learn the ingredients and tools.
2)Read part 2 and number the pictures (1--5) and then check the answers.
3)show students the pictures and they discuss how to make a turkey dinner.
4)Learn by steps.
5)Have a summary according to the pictures.
First, mix together some bread pieces, onions, salt and pepper.
Next, fill the turkey with this bread mix.
Then, put the turkey in a hot oven and cook it for a few hours.

2)Watch a short video about Thanksgiving and learn the history of Thanksgiving.
設(shè)計意圖:自然引入主題,增加趣味性。通過學(xué)習(xí)感恩節(jié)的歷史,讓學(xué)生理解感恩節(jié)的意義,為后面的情感教育鋪墊。

設(shè)計意圖:首先讓學(xué)生帶著問題閱讀整篇故事,提升了教學(xué)的針對性。接著通過把握五個重要的元素和閱讀方法指導(dǎo),幫助學(xué)生進(jìn)一步理解文章內(nèi)容,提升了學(xué)生的閱讀理解能力。然后學(xué)生完成不同的練習(xí),理解和掌握重點詞匯。最后學(xué)生通過小組合作復(fù)述全文,提升整體學(xué)習(xí)效果,實現(xiàn)了“整進(jìn)整出”的目標(biāo)。
