A Lesson to Me

This morning， I got up too late. So I rode my bike hurriedly to school.

There are two crossings on my way for① school. Because it was too late today， I decided go② on riding even when the light was red. I was lucky at the first crossing because the light was green. But at the second crossing I found the light was red. If I stopped to wait， I would be late for school. So I went on riding. Suddenly a car appeared with a loud noise of braking. I couldnt stop my bike because③ the high speed. Then I hit the left front wheel of the car. Fortunately， I was all right. Soon a policeman came up. He and the driver criticized me for not waiting for the green light. Everyone looked at me at once. My face turned red. I realized what I did was wrong. How dangerous it was！

Though nothing serious happened， but④ it was a lesson to me. It told me that we must obey the traffic rules and value our life.

1. 優(yōu)點(diǎn)：

全文語言樸實(shí)，自然流暢，意思連貫。小作者通過寥寥數(shù)語，向我們講述了他的一個教訓(xùn)，文章雖短，卻表達(dá)了一個道理：我們必須遵守交通規(guī)則，珍愛生命。

2. 需要修改的地方：

① for改為to， on ones way to...意為“在去……的路上”；

② go改為to go， decide to do sth.意為“決定做……”；

③ because后加of， because后加從句，because of后加名詞短語；

④ 去掉but， though和but不可連用，用其中之一就可表達(dá)“雖然……但是……”的意思。

3. 評分：

按中考英語作文滿分15分的評分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，本文修改前可得13分。
