在學習英語的過程中，我們常常會碰到有些動詞（動詞 + 介詞 / 形容詞 + 介詞）后常接表示人的名詞作賓語，而有些動詞（動詞 + 介詞 / 形容詞 + 介詞）后常接物或某活動等名詞作賓語，現(xiàn)將常見的幾組詞（短語）歸納如下：

1. beat sb 打敗（擊敗、勝過）某人，defeat與beat用法相似. win贏得、獲勝[后接比賽、勝利、獎賞等名詞]， 但win （over） 作“說服某人； 把某人爭取過來”解時，其則接表示人的名詞或代詞.

2. In the end， the North beat the South and won the was.

You beat me in the race ， but Ill beat you at tennis. 賽跑你贏我，但打網(wǎng)球我將贏你。

Our team won the game 8 to 7. 我們隊以8比7贏了那場比賽。

We won him （over） to our views. 我們說服他同意了我們的觀點。

Can you win the director （over）？ 你能把主任爭取過來嗎？

2. interview sb 采訪某人 . cover sth 采訪某事件.

She was interviewed by the reporters about her marriage.

許多記者采訪了她的婚姻生活。

He was covering the event when we arrived.. 當我們到達時，他正在對那事件進行訪。

3.dress sb. 給某人穿衣. put on （wear） 穿上（穿著），接衣物名詞。

She is dressing her baby. 她在給小孩穿衣服。

Put your coat on when you go out. 你出去時要穿上外套。

4.thank sb. 感謝某人. appreciate sth. 感激.

Thank you for your help. 感謝你的幫助。

I greatly appreciate your help. 我很感激你的幫助。

5. celebrate作“慶祝、祝賀”解，其賓語常是事物名詞（如：節(jié)日、生日、勝利、成功等），若強調(diào)以某種形式用介詞with ， by ， in . 作“歌頌、贊美”解，其賓語可以是人，也可以是物。congratulate sb. “向某人表示祝賀”

We celebrated the New Year with / by / in a party.我們舉行集會慶祝新年。

Today his words and deeds are celebrated all over the country.

現(xiàn)在人們都贊揚他的言行。

I congratulate you on your success. 我們慶賀你的成功。

6.employ（dismiss） sb. 雇傭（解雇）某人 . rent sth. 出租（=let）、租用某物. hire （fire）sb.雇傭（解雇）某人[賓語多為worker， driver ， servant ，waiter，不能是professor ， doctor， engineer ， etc] ， hire sth.租用某物 [賓語多為car ， camera ， boat ， horse， hall，通常指臨時性的。]

He employed the girl as a typist. 他雇那個女孩當打字員。

They hired （employed） five people for the rice harvest.他們雇傭5個人收水韜。

We rent this house from Mr. Smith 我們向史密斯租這棟房子。

We dont rent our rooms to male students.我們的房子不租給男同學。

7.rob （cheat） sb （out） of sth.搶（騙）某人某物. steal sth from sb ＼someplace偷某人（地）某物.

They robbed （cheated） the old man （out） of his watch. 他們搶（騙）走了那位老人的表。

They stole the bike from the us.他們偷了我們自行車。

8. provide sb with sth （=provide sth for sb） 供給某人某物。 supply sb with sth （=supply sth to sb.） 供給某人某物.

They provided food and clothes for the suffers.他們提供食物和衣服給受難者

The media supplies us with lots of information every day.

大多傳播媒體每天把很多信息提供給我們。

9. pay sb 付款給某人。 pay for sth支付某物之款。

She paid the driver and go out of the taxi.他付錢給司機后下了出租車。

Did you pay for the book？ 那本書的款你付了嗎？

10. charge sb向某人索取多少錢 charge for sth某物要價多少。

They charged me five dollars for a coffee. 他們一杯咖啡向我要5美圓。

Theyll charge at least 10，000 dollars for the piano.他們搬運鋼琴最少要100美圓。

11.question sb 審問某人，向某人詢問…… question about sth. /sb. 詢問某人或某物的有關(guān)情況。

I questioned him about what he was doing yesterday.我向問他昨天干了些什么。

The policeman questioned about the accident. 警察詢問了那場事故的有關(guān)情況。

12. hear from sb ， receive sbs letter 收到某人的來信。

I received his letter yesterday. 昨天我收到了他的來信。

I havent heard from her for a long time. 好長時間我沒有收到她的來信了。

13. join sb 加入，和某人一起. join in sth 參加某項活動

He join us for dinner .他和我們共用晚餐。

May I join in your conversation？ 我可以參加你們的談話嗎？

He wont join us in tennis match. 他不想?yún)⒓游覀兊木W(wǎng)球比賽。

14. agree with sb 與某人的想法、意見一致。 agree to sth 同意某建議。

I dont agree with you . 我不同意你的建議。

We agreed to his proposal （plan） .我們同意這個提議（計劃）。

15.drop in on sb 順便拜訪某人 . drop in at someplace 順便到某處一下.

She dropped in on me at my house.她順路到我家來看我。

we dropped in at the library. 我們順便到圖書館去了一下。

16.call on sb 訪問、請求某人 . call at 走訪某地.

He called me at my house. 他到我家來拜訪過我。

17. part with （from） sb 和某人分手. part with sth 賣掉、放棄某物

He parted with [from] his girl friend two years ago .

兩年前他和他的女朋友分手了。

He didnt want to part with his old house. 他不想賣掉他的舊房子。

18. angry （anger） with / at sb 生某人的氣. angry （anger） about / at sth 因某事而生氣 .

She was angry with / at me when I was late. 我遲到了他生我的氣。

----What are you angry about？ 你生什么氣？

----I am angry at what she said. 我為她所說的生氣。

19. be patient with sb 對某人有耐心。 be patient of sth 能忍受、容忍某事。

You should be more patient with others. 你應(yīng)該多容忍他人一些。

He was patient of hardships 他能忍受苦難。

20. be familiar to sb 為某人所熟悉 be familiar with 作 “與……親密”解，其賓語是人， 作 “對……熟悉”其賓語可以是人，也可以是物， 作 “對……精通”其賓語是物。

The kind of plant is familiar to them. 這種植物他們熟悉。

They are familiar with the kind of plant . 他們熟悉這種植物。

Dont be too familiar with him ； hes a dishonest man.

不要與他過分親密，他是一個不誠實的人。

He is familiar with three languages. 他精通三門語言。

21. be strict with sb 對某人要求嚴格 . be strict in sth 對某事要求嚴格.

He is strict with his own children in every way.在各個方面他對自己的小孩要求嚴格。

We must all be strict in our work. 我們必須對我們的工作要求嚴格。

22. blame sb. for sth .因某事而責怪某人。blame sth. on sb.把……歸罪于某人。

She blamed me for negligence. 她責備我粗心大意。

He blamed his failure on his teacher. 他把他的失敗歸罪于他的老師。

23.responsibility of / for sth 對某事的責任 responsibility to sb對某人應(yīng)承擔的責任

He accepted responsibility for the mistake.他承認他對錯誤負有一切責任。

You take your responsibility to your students.. 你會但負起對學生的責任。
