今年2月，《酒店精品》“環(huán)球酒店行羅馬站”在羅馬第一豪華藝術酒店見到了酒店的設計師安東尼奧·馬里庫勒（Antonio Marincola）。有著希臘雕塑般面部輪廓的安東尼奧出生在意大利，可謂高產設計師，早在20多年前即以自己的姓氏在羅馬歷史古城中心就建立了“馬里庫勒建筑和室內設計工作室”。其酒店設計作品不僅遍布意大利的羅馬、米蘭、佛羅倫薩、威尼斯和卡普里島，還承擔了像北京這樣的大型城市的 LaVie 別墅設計，以及香港的大型公寓建筑和遠在大洋彼岸美國邁阿密的酒店設計等。

安東尼奧認為，一部好的作品應當是設計與空間、藝術與科學、室內設計與建筑設計有機的結合產物。在與安東尼奧的交談中不禁令人感慨，在這個以后古典主義設計酒店林立為中心的羅馬古城中，如此的現代設計，不可謂不大膽，酒店名稱的“第一”，其實也是“唯一”。而安東尼奧坦言，其設計靈感來自于北京的 The Opposite House 瑜舍。

酒店的主體建筑始于19世紀，安東尼奧用了6個月的時間完成了酒店改造設計，而酒店的施工部分用了將近3年的時間。酒店共設有29間客/套房，每一間客房設計迥異，但均以不同的當代風格的藝術品和現代家具為特色，廣泛運用天鵝絨更加彰顯酒店的奢華。每間客房均配有iPod基座、柔軟的浴袍、拖鞋和免費洗浴用品。部分套房還配備有帶 Jacuzzi 浴缸的露臺。此外，酒店擁有一間大堂酒吧和一個免費的健身區(qū)。

The main building of the hotel existed in nineteenth Century. Antonio spent 6 months to complete the design of the transformation of the hotel， and the construction of the hotel took nearly 3 years.
