With Laurent Bardet and Laurence Jean as creative directors, and another couple Thierry Martin and Thibaut Fronas as interior designers, the four took nearly three years to complete the design work of Le Narcisse Blanc Spa.
Once the theme is established, the imagination spreads out in order. In the lobby under three-color tones of black, white and champagne, the pattern of narcissus constitutes the decorative elements of the marble tile floor, the reception counter surface and its back wall and the ceiling above, in a restrained style of black and white. The lift on the left side of the reception is covered by leaves-shaped brass wall, handrails on both sides of the elevator door were installed transparent crystal ball with six-petal Narcissus embedded. The same design was also to be found in the guest bathroom faucet handle, with black and white flowers indicating hot and cold water, giving forth a sense of pure elegance.
The most beautiful narcissus appears above the headboard. The champagne-color flowers of all shades were all hand-painted by the designer, with subtle differences as if floating in the wind. In addition, the subtlest pattern also appears on the bedspread fabrics, you can tell only when you look close.
Miss Cléo's picture hung on the walls of public spaces, such as the corridor. It is worth mentioning that the portrait on the wall is not the old photos of Miss Cléo, but of a girl in real life with high resemblance found by the designers. The girl is dressed in Alexander McQueen or Vivienne Westwood in her life, but for the hotel photo here, the designer had her clothes specially customized according to the historical appearance, then proceeded to take photo shoot like making movies. Such time consuming process was taken since the designers wanted to use modern expressions to convey the sense of history, with fashionable and nostalgic effect. In addition, the rooms are decorated with elegant lines inspired by Miss Cléo's Pearl necklace.
