上海萬(wàn)達(dá)瑞華酒店的外觀設(shè)計(jì)由擔(dān)綱包括大英博物館改造、首都國(guó)際機(jī)場(chǎng)新航站樓設(shè)計(jì)的Foster+Partners及Heatherwick Studio聯(lián)合設(shè)計(jì)，概念時(shí)髦大膽。內(nèi)部則由萬(wàn)達(dá)酒店設(shè)計(jì)研究院自主設(shè)計(jì)，以Art Deco為主要設(shè)計(jì)風(fēng)格，將“白玉蘭”、“蘇繡”等海派元素恰如其分地融入，配合幾十位中國(guó)當(dāng)代藝術(shù)家創(chuàng)作的藝術(shù)品，在華麗典雅中，呈現(xiàn)出上世紀(jì)二十至三十年代上海風(fēng)情。

酒店大堂層高達(dá)10米，從地面到天花板都由天然玉石和大理石鑲嵌而成，正對(duì)入口的墻面上一幅8米乘以8米的巨型創(chuàng)新中國(guó)畫(huà)《錦繡東方》，由著名藝術(shù)家石齊專(zhuān)為上海萬(wàn)達(dá)瑞華酒店度身定制，氣勢(shì)磅礴。前臺(tái)處以藍(lán)色魔鬼魚(yú)皮裝飾的墻面和藝術(shù)家韋冬創(chuàng)作的《兒時(shí)森林》青銅鑄件相互呼應(yīng)，讓濃郁的藝術(shù)氛圍和上海的韻味在這間富麗堂皇的酒店中流轉(zhuǎn)，讓人流連忘返。

與公共空間的奢華相比，客房在華貴中又流露出更多體貼入微的細(xì)節(jié)。客房設(shè)計(jì)以老上?；▓@洋房為靈感，使用珍貴的桃花芯樹(shù)瘤木作為木飾面，床頭墻壁上全手工的玉蘭花刺繡、背景與地毯花卉主題相互輝映，老上海復(fù)古銀行家臺(tái)燈、捷克水晶落地?zé)?、歐洲獨(dú)立式橢圓形浴缸、定制水晶龍頭、度身定制的全套家具擺設(shè)以及藝術(shù)品的選擇，都呈現(xiàn)出上世紀(jì)二十年代上海的繁華如夢(mèng)、醇久醉人。

The hotel exterior was designed jointly by Foster + Partners and Heatherwick Studio， who have previously been in charge of British Museum renovation and Beijing capital airport new terminal design. This collaboration has created a stunning new landmark along The Bund. Designed by Wanda Design Institute， the hotel's interior has inherited the elegance of Shanghai's cultural art elements from the 1920s and 1930s， such as magnolias and traditional Suzhou embroidery. In addition， the hotel showcases a superb collection of art and antiques crafted by well-known contemporary Chinese artists.

Upon entering， the 10-metre-high Art Deco grand lobby， the ceiling， walls and floors are luxuriously set with marble and jade， infused with Art Deco elements. A magnificent Chinese 8m x 8m giant painting， \"Splendid Orient\" by renowned Chinese contemporary artist Shi Qi， is an abstract depiction of Shanghai. The reception space walls are paved with manta ray leather dyed a rich blue， which perfectly enhances the fluid lines of the stunning centrepiece – \"Fantasy Wonderland\"， a bronze sculpture by Wei Dong. These painted masterpieces hail back to Shanghai's golden era of affluence and style.

Compared to the luxury of the public space， the guestroom space is designed with more considerate details and is inspired by the old Shanghai Garden Villa. The room incorporates mahogany burl wood， magnolia embroideries by the bedside， and Art Deco elements such as a retro-style banker's lamp and Czech crystal lamps. The unique marble bathroom features a European oval bathtub， tailor-made crystal water tap. The charm of the 1920s Shanghai was once again revived.
