我是一名來(lái)自美國(guó)的伊朗裔導(dǎo)演、攝影師，移居寧波已有兩年了。

俗話說(shuō)“一張圖片勝過千言萬(wàn)語(yǔ)”，這也是我從事視覺藝術(shù)的原因之一。年輕時(shí)，我生活在祖國(guó)伊朗，那時(shí)伊朗的文盲率非常高。我想，如果能把故事拍成電影就可以讓更多的人欣賞，所以我就走上了攝影之路。

對(duì)于任何攝影師來(lái)說(shuō)，寧波就是一個(gè)天堂。兩年前，我們搬來(lái)寧波，這里風(fēng)景秀麗，尤其是有為數(shù)眾多的古老村莊，成為我們的拍攝勝地。因此，當(dāng)我受邀到北侖職業(yè)技術(shù)學(xué)院講課時(shí)，我鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生們通過鏡頭去寧波的各個(gè)角落尋找美、聚焦美、捕捉美、傳達(dá)美。這個(gè)城市也非常關(guān)心和支持藝術(shù)家。至今為止，我有一半的個(gè)人攝影展都在寧波舉辦。可以說(shuō)，正是在寧波，我個(gè)人創(chuàng)作的藝術(shù)性獲得了飛躍式的進(jìn)步。

寧波的文化生活十分豐富。文化廣場(chǎng)每月都邀請(qǐng)不同的藝術(shù)家、作曲家和舞蹈家來(lái)演出。記得有一次，荷蘭荷蘭NEIL流行爵士樂團(tuán)來(lái)寧波保利劇院表演，這讓我那愛好打鼓的二兒子欣喜若狂——沒想到在寧波也可以經(jīng)常欣賞到具有國(guó)際水準(zhǔn)的藝術(shù)表演！作為父母，我們也感到十分興奮。

我曾在天津生活過三年，在我看來(lái)，環(huán)境的潔凈度是構(gòu)成中國(guó)南北的差異之一。過去兩年，我從未在寧波的河流里發(fā)現(xiàn)過漂浮的垃圾。這肯定不是偶然現(xiàn)象，一部分歸功于市民們良好的衛(wèi)生習(xí)慣，更重要的是環(huán)衛(wèi)工人的辛勤勞動(dòng)。出于對(duì)他們的尊敬，我專題制作了一件反映環(huán)衛(wèi)工人早出晚歸勞作不休的攝影作品。

作為寧波人的幸福之處，還包括城鄉(xiāng)“穿越”的便捷。喧囂都市與自然之美是如此之近，從市區(qū)驅(qū)車不出一小時(shí)，就可以投入自然的環(huán)抱。每隔兩三個(gè)星期，我就能找到一個(gè)吸引我的景點(diǎn)。例如，我剛發(fā)現(xiàn)，從我家出發(fā)騎車半個(gè)小時(shí)就能到達(dá)慈城古城，清新美麗的慈湖令人深深地陶醉。

寧波賦予我太多的創(chuàng)作靈感，我很想在這里拍攝自己的第一部故事片。我知道，這座城市就像一座寶藏，只要用心，絕不會(huì)讓我失望。

Ningbo is a paradise for visual artists！

One photo talks more than thousands words. This was one of the attractions of visual art for me. When I was young， the rate of illiteracy in Iran kept in a high level， so I decided to be engaged into visual art. For I thought， a writer in this country could only have a few thousand readers， while an acclaimed filmmaker could have millions of people watching his film.

Two years ago， we moved to Ningbo， and I found Ningbo is a paradise for photographers. This is because Ningbo has beautiful scenery including so many ancient villages in particular. Therefore， when I was invited by Ningbo Polytechnic to teach creative photography and DSLR filmmaking， I always inspired my students to capture the beauty of our city through the lens. Moreover， the government here pays much attention to supporting artists like photographers. As a matter of fact， half of the solo exhibitions on my photographic works were held in Ningbo. To me， it is in Ningbo that many doors have opened to enhance my creative works in photography.

Cultural life in Ningbo is also very rich. Ningbo has its own cultural plaza， where high level performances were put on monthly， done by various outstanding artists， composers or dancers from all over the world. This is amazing！ For example， my son has a lot of passion and interests in drumming， who was so excited to attend to the jazz drumming show in Ningbo Poly Grand Theater， performed by Holland native musician Neil band der Drift.

Compared to other Chinese big cities in the north， Ningbo distinguishes itself by good city appearance and environmental sanitation. It is impressive that any river I have seen during the past two years has been free of garbage. When I first came to Ningbo， it was a shockingly positive sign. I know this couldn’t happen by accident. It could be firstly contributed to the citizen’s good hygiene practices. I noticed that the hardworking Ningbo people constantly clean and collect garbage they see， from early morning to late night. I have also created a pieced of photographic work to represent the particular subject.

The close-by countryside also addresses the happiness of living in Ningbo. No matter where you live in Ningbo， there is close gate away from hectic life in the city to enjoy the beauty of nature. Almost every two or three weeks， I could find myself a new scenic attraction. Recently， I just found the ancient city called Chi Cheng is only half an hour cycling away from where I live. The Ci Lake and the hills around it are very nice and refreshing.

As a filmmaker and photographer， I hope to shoot my first feature film here in Ningbo. I know the city has a lot to offer and won't make me disappointed.
