一談到德育,很多人都以為那是政治老師的事或是班主任在班會課上的事,與英語課無關,其實這是一種誤解,德育教育應該貫穿于每一個學科中,英語教學也不例外。當然,這種教育不能是簡單、空泛的說教,而應該根據具體的教學內容,巧妙結合,有的放矢。
挖掘德育素材,寓德于教
如“Go for it!” 7A Unit 3 “This is my sister”,圍繞“家庭成員”這一主題展開聽、說、讀、寫教學活動。教學任務是用英語介紹家人或朋友,課前我布置學生帶一張全家福或與朋友的合影,在Groupwork活動上,讓學生用英語介紹家人或朋友給同學認識,對人物進行簡單的描述。
S1: This is a picture of my family. These are my parents, my father is a teacher, he is a math teacher. My mother is a doctor, she is a good doctor. That is my sister, she is a student, she is ten years old. This is me, Im a student, too. Im twelve years old. I love my family.
S2: In the picture, this is my friend, he is Paul, hes tall. Thats my friend, too, her name is Anna, shes beautiful. Theyre my classmates. Theyre friendly to me.
在Pairkwork對話活動,同學間相互交換相片,用英語詢問對方的家人和朋友,讓同學間更了解對方的家庭成員,從而熱愛家人和朋友,尊重他人。
創(chuàng)設情景,自然啟發(fā)
“Go for it!” 7A Unit 2 “Is this your pencil?”,教學內容是“確認物主”。上課前我們先觀看一段小品《拾金不昧》,然后進行尋找物主的游戲。我在一個箱子里放一些學習用品,進行對話。T:Is this your pencil? S1: Yes, it is, thank you! T: Is that your ruler? S2: No, it isnt. 我在班上設一個失物招領處,把沒有人認領的學習用品暫時放在那兒。通過這些情景活動,學生明白每件物品都有它的主人,并結合教材內容提出問題:Have you ever picked up others things? If you pick up others things, what will you do with these things? 讓學生說出解決的辦法:I will hand in these things.
抓住時機,培養(yǎng)學生的品德修養(yǎng)
尊敬師長、關愛他人。在教師節(jié)、母親節(jié)、父親節(jié)等節(jié)日,我引導學生制作賀卡,并寫上祝福語:Happy Teachers Day. I am truly grateful to you for what you have done. Thank you for making learning not a dull thing but a great joy./ I love you, Mum. You are the one that we love the most. Have a happy Mothers Day!/ You are the best father in the world. Thanks for holding my hand when I needed it.
遵章守紀,講公共道德。如教“must/mustnt”時,我精心選擇貼近學生生活實際的例句,讓學生自己做出判斷,在下列句子前面加上“must/mustnt”,再表達出來:
……Finish our homework on time.
……Draw on the wall.
……Be quiet at the library.
……Wait when the traffic lights are red.
……Take good care of flowers and trees in school.
……Make a lot of noise in class.
……Spit on the floor.
完成這一教學活動后,可趁熱打鐵讓學生用“must/mustnt”自由發(fā)言,說出在日常生活中哪些事要做好,哪些事不能做。
