1.They have organized games and the staff dress up as clowns.他們組織游戲，工作人員裝扮成小丑。dress up意為“穿上盛裝；裝扮；打扮”。例如：

She dressed up for the ball.她穿上盛裝去參加舞會。

2.Peter,lend me your pen.彼得，把你的鋼筆借給我。

lend意為“借（出）”，后面可接雙賓語，也可與介詞to連用。borrow作“借”講時，表示的是“借入”，后面不可接雙賓語，一般與介詞from連用。例如：

You can’t lend it to others.你不能把它借給別人。

You can borrow some books from the school library.你可以從學(xué)校圖書館里借幾本書。

句中的so that引導(dǎo)的是目的狀語從句。so that引導(dǎo)目的狀語從句時，從句中常用情態(tài)動詞can,could,may,might等。例如：

so far意為“到目前為止”，是一個固定詞組，一般與現(xiàn)在完成時連用。例如：

thanks to意為“多虧了……；幸虧”，用來說明原因。例如：

look forward to是一個固定短語，意為“盼望；期待”，to為介詞，后面可跟名詞、代詞、動詞-ing形式作賓語，不可跟動詞原形。例如：

I am looking forward to seeing you.我期盼著與你見面。

be made from表示“由……制成”，指制成品中看不出原材料；be made of表示“由……制成”，指制成品中能看出原材料。例如：
