My opinions on owning a car
The passage mainly talks about the advantages of owning a car in our daily life, such as traveling on weekends, working in a place quite far from home and enjoying the heating and the air-conditioning.
Indeed, there are many advantages in possessing a car. However, cars have lots of disadvantages. As we all know, nowadays a great many traffic accidents result from cars. Sometimes it is inconvenient and even annoying when you get stuck in a traffic jam, particularly when you are hurrying to do something important.
Secondly, cars cause much pollution, which is a serious problem to the whole world. The air is dirty because of the waste from cars. In addition, people who use cars too often get less physical exercise and become fatter and lazier.
In my opinion, we should take the chance to ride bicycles, which is more friendly to the environment. And we can also get more exercise. Besides, people can share their cars to reduce traffic and pollution.

四、基礎(chǔ)寫作 (one possible version)
Last weekend my mother got injured by boiling water and her left hand swelled with blisters appearing. She squeezed the water out of them, which made the injured area bleeding and watery. Seeing this, I applied the first aid knowledge learned at school to her. I asked her to keep her left hand higher than the heart and covered the injury in placewith a piece of dry and clean cloth to protect it against infection, and then I sent her to the hospital depending on the severe symptom. It was because of the difference that the first aid made that father presented me with a book——First Aid for the Family and said he was proud of what I had done.
五、讀寫任務(wù)(one possible version)
The passage tells us that John applied the knowledge of first aid learned at school to save Ms Slade who encountered a shocking knife attack, which shows a difference that first aid makes.
Last weekend I was studying English in my classroom when I heard someone shouting for help. It was Kate who had cut herself badly in her left arm on some glass and was bleeding heavily. Seeing this, a number of classmates put their hands on her but we couldnt make sure which way was the best. One suggested the arm should be placed under running water for several minutes. One advised oil or ointment be put on the wound. Somebody offered an advice that we bandage the wound immediately...Fortunately, our English teacher passed by. He immediately dressed the injured area with a clean towel and slowed the bleeding by applying pressure to the wound, then he got Kate to the nearest hospital at once.
Through that case, we know first aid is very important in our daily life. If we hadnt taken first aid measures on Kate, she would have got into a big trouble. I suggest that schools should have the first aid courses or hold some lectures on first aid.
