有些動詞后既可接to do，也可接doing，它們后接to do與doing在意思上有時有較大的差別。作為近幾年中考的常考點之一，我們應(yīng)該搞清楚它們的區(qū)別。

1．stop to do與stop doing

解析：stop to do sth．意為“停下來(正在做的事)去做(另外的)某事”，to do sth．在句子中作目的狀語．而stop doing sth．意為“停止(正在做的)某事”。如：

Jim stopped to speak to me．吉姆停下(手頭的工作)來跟我講話。

When tIle teacher came in．the students stopped talking．老師進來時，學(xué)生們停止了講話。

2．remember to do與remember doing

解析：remember to do，sth．意為“記住要去做某事”(還沒有做)，而remember doing sth．意為“記得(已經(jīng))做過某事”。如：

Please remember to send the letter for me．請記住為我發(fā)這封信。

I don’t remember eating this food．我不記得吃過這種食物。

3．forget to do與forget doing

解析：forget to d0 sth．意為“忘記做某事”(動作還沒有發(fā)生)，而forgetdoing sth．意為“忘記做過某事”(動作已發(fā)生)。如：

Don’t forget to bring your photo here．別忘了把你的相片帶來。

I have forgotten giving the book to him．我忘記我已把書給了他。

4．go on to dp與go on doing

解析：go on to do sth．意為“做完一件事，接著做另外一件事”，兩件事之間有可能有某種聯(lián)系，而go on doing sth．意為“繼續(xù)做下去(接著做同一件事)”。如：

After reading the text，the students went on to do the exereises．學(xué)生們讀完課文后，接著做練習(xí)。

It’s raining hard，trot the farmers go on working on the farm．雖然天正下著雨，但農(nóng)民們繼續(xù)在農(nóng)場里干活。

5．try to do與try doing

解析：try to do sth．意為“盡力去做某事”，而try doing sth．意為“(用某一種辦法)試著去做某事”。如：

Try to come a little early next time，please．下次請盡量早點來。

You can try working out the problem in another way．你可以試試用另一種方法解答這道題目。

6．can’t help to do與can’t help doing

解析：can’t helI)t0 d0 sth．為動詞不定式結(jié)構(gòu)，意為“不能幫忙做某事”，而Call’t help doing sth．意為“身不由己地去做某事”或“情不自禁地去做某事”如：

We can’t help to finish it．我們不能幫忙完成此事。

l couldn’t help laughing when I saw her strange face．當我看到她奇怪的表情時，我情不自禁地笑了。

7．hear sh．do與hear sb．doing

解析：hear sb.do sth．意為“聽到某人做某事”，指聽到了這個動作的全過程；heat sb．doing sth．意為“聽到某人做某事”，指聽到的時候．這個動作正在發(fā)生。如：

I often hear him sing in the classrooln．我經(jīng)常聽到他住教室里唱歌。

Do you hear someone knocking at the door?你聽到有人在敲門嗎?

(注：和hear的用法一樣的還有see，watch，notice等。)
