“到處”在漢語(yǔ)中是一個(gè)常見(jiàn)用語(yǔ)，那么，若要把它翻譯成英語(yǔ)，又該如何表達(dá)呢？對(duì)此，筆者總結(jié)了如下幾種譯法，以期能豐富同學(xué)們的詞匯庫(kù)。

一、around

around除了意為“周?chē)?，環(huán)繞”以外，還可以理解成“到處，四處，遍及”。例如：

She wants to walk around the city.

她想要去城里到處走走。

They are looking around for a house inthis area.

他們正在這個(gè)地區(qū)四處找房子。

Jack was riding a bike around the village.

杰克正騎自車(chē)兜遍全村。

二、everywhere

everywhere 意為“到處，處處，四處，在各個(gè)地方”。例如：

There are trees and flowers everywhere inthe park.

公園里到處都是花和樹(shù)。

After the spring rain， mushrooms can beseen everywhere on the hill.

春雨過(guò)后，山上蘑菇四處可見(jiàn)。

There is no one in the room， dust is everywhere.

房間里沒(méi)有人，到處都是灰塵。

三、all over

all over意為“到處，處處，四處，遍及”。例如：

Tom，put away your books，they are all over the place.

湯姆，把你的書(shū)收好，丟得到處都是。

Be careful，there is water all over the kitch-en floor.

小心，廚房的地板上處處都是水。

News schools are being built all over the country.

全國(guó)各地到處都在修建新學(xué)校。

四、here and there

here and there意為“到處，四處，在各處”。例如：

She looked here and there for her lost key.

她四處尋找丟失的鑰匙。

Five-star red flags were hung here and there during National Day.

國(guó)慶期間到處掛滿(mǎn)了五星紅旗。

A crow felt very thirsty.It flew here and there looking for some water，but it could not find any.

一只烏鴉口渴了，它到處找水喝，可就是找不著水。

五、left and right

left and right 從字面上理解，它的含義是“左邊和右邊”。但在口語(yǔ)中，它還可以表示“到處，處處，遍地都是，隨處可見(jiàn)”等。例如：

There are clothes left and right on the bed.

床上到處都是衣服。

She complained left and right that her sondidn’t work hard.

她四處和人抱怨他的兒子工作不努力。

六、high and low

high and low 這個(gè)習(xí)語(yǔ)不并是指“高和低”，而是意為“到處，四處，各處”。例如：

hither and yon意為“到處，四處”。例如：
