It was the homecoming parade in Rockwall, Texas. Tyra Winters, wearing her uniform, was riding at the top of the school’s float.
Suddenly, she heard a scream. Looking down, she saw a two-year-old boy on the road gasping for air. His mother looked nervous. A candy blocked his windpipe and made him choked. “I see a little red face and his mom crying ‘Help! Help!’” Winters said.
“There was no coughing and no breathing.” The boy’s mother said. No one knew how to help. As a student with dreams of becoming a doctor, Winters had learned the Heimlich maneuver. She jumped off the float and ran to the boy. “I tilted him and gave three good back hits,” she said. Soon, the boy coughed up the candy and began breathing again. Without a word, Winters gave the boy back to his mother and went back to the float.
It all happened so fast that the boy’s mother never had time to thank her. “She didn’t need to,” says Winters, “I knew how she was feeling. There are many kind people in the world.”

As a result, he is the most important member in our school football team. He is also interested in swimming and climbing.
Liu Tao is one of my best friends because of his good personality. Liu Tao seldom behaves bad so he is always patient to everyone. If someone hurts, he will help them right away. Once, a student felt quite uncomfortable after a long running. Although he was tired out too, he still tried his best to help the student.
Liu Tao wants to be a member of the national team in the future, so he practices running for a long time after school. I think he will achieve his dream and get many gold medals some day.
