China's Police Chief Meets Burundian Minister of Public Security

BEIJING， May 22 -- Chinese State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong met with Martin Niteretse， Burundi's minister of interior， community development and public security， on Wednesday in Beijing.

Wang said that China is ready to work with Burundi to enhance bilateral friendship and mutual trust， deepen mutually beneficial and pragmatic cooperation， and strengthen security cooperation under the framework of the Belt and Road cooperation.

The two countries should also jointly crack down on transnational crimes， comprehensively boost law enforcement and security cooperation， and create a more secure and sound environment for the economic and social development of the two countries， Wang said.

China's Police Chief Meets Commissioner General of Korean National Police Agency

BEIJING， May 16 （Xinhua） -- Chinese State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong met with Yoon Hee-keun， commissioner general of the Korean National Police Agency， in Beijing on Thursday.

Noting that China and the Republic of Korea （ROK） are important neighbors and cooperative partners， Wang said China is ready to work with the ROK to uphold the concepts of cooperation， innovation， rule of law and mutual benefit， and to strengthen the building of law enforcement and security cooperation mechanisms.

Wang said China is willing to work with the ROK to enhance cooperation in combating cross-border gambling， jointly crack down on prominent crimes involving telecom and internet fraud， drugs and finance， deepen cooperation in law enforcement capacity building， improve the level of law enforcement and security cooperation， and effectively safeguard the security and stability of the two countries.

BEIJING， May 8 -- Chinese State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong met with Finnish National Police Commissioner Seppo Kolehmainen in Beijing on Wednesday.

Wang said that guided by the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries， China is ready to work with Finland to advance bilateral law-enforcement and security cooperation at a high level， with a focus on combating telecom and internet fraud， economic and financial crimes， illegal immigration， anti-terrorism， drug control and other fields， while jointly meeting the challenges of transnational crimes.

At the same time， China is also willing to work with Finland to enhance exchanges of law-enforcement personnel at all levels， push for steady and long-term growth of China-Finland relations， and bring more benefits to the two countries and two peoples， Wang said.

BEIJING， April 26 （Xinhua） -- Chinese State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong met with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Beijing on Friday.

Wang said the two sides should adhere to the principles of mutual respect， peaceful coexistence and win-win cooperation， implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state， and promote bilateral cooperation in terms of both drug control and law enforcement.

Wang noted that the U.S. side should take practical steps to resolve issues including unjustifiable harassment， interrogation and deportation of Chinese students， smearing of China's normal international law enforcement cooperation， and the setting up of barriers hampering people-to-people exchanges.

The U.S. side should inject positive energy into bilateral relations， Wang said.

China's Police Chief Meets Myanmar's Union Minister for Home Affairs

BEIJING， April 25 -- Chinese State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong met with Myanmar Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae on Thursday in Beijing.

Wang said that landmark achievements have been made through the joint efforts of China and Myanmar in cracking down on crimes related to telecom network fraud.

Wang noted that China has always viewed and developed China-Myanmar relations from a strategic perspective. He said China is ready to work with Myanmar to deepen cooperation on law enforcement and security， strengthen personnel project security cooperation， and intensify cooperation on combating gambling， drug trafficking and other cross-border crimes to contribute more to the security， stability and prosperous development of the two countries and the entire region.
