人教版小學PEP《英語》五年級下冊第二單元執(zhí)教結束,為幫助學生進一步加深對不同月份和季節(jié)的感受,增強用英語描述所聞所見的口語能力,并在這一過程中滲透愛家鄉(xiāng)、愛環(huán)境的理念,充分體現思想政治教育的必要性和實效性,筆者組織學生開展了一場以真情實感為基礎的討論,確定以昆明的自然人文環(huán)境為主題,鼓勵學生就生活在昆明的感受暢所欲言,收到了超出預期的效果。
一、為什么喜歡昆明特定的某個季節(jié)
T: Boys and girls, by the end of this unit, we all know althought the four seasons are different, each has its wonderful sights. So, in our beautiful “Spring City” Kunming, which season do you like best? Why?
(師:同學們,學完本單元,知道了四季各有不同,但都有各自的美景。那么,在我們美麗的“春城”昆明,你最喜歡哪個季節(jié)?為什么?)
S1:I like summer best in Kunming. Because I can go swimming and eat ice cream in summer. They can make me feel really cool.
(生1:我最喜歡昆明的夏天,因為夏天可以去游泳,還可以吃冰淇淋,有一種讓人很爽很爽的感覺。)
S2:I like spring best in Kunming. In spring, grasses wake up, willows turn green, flowers bloom. We can not only enjoy many kinds of pretty flowers but also can have a spring outing with classmates and go on a picnic with families.
(生2:我最喜歡昆明的春天,因為春天里,小草蘇醒了,柳枝綠了,小花也開了,我們不僅可以欣賞到各式各樣漂亮的花朵,還可以和同學去春游,與家人去野炊。)
S3:I like winter best in Kunming. Because in winter, We can play in the snow and people are more likely to eat hot pot with friends, this is funny.
(生3:我最喜歡昆明的冬天,因為我們可以在雪里玩耍,人們也更喜歡和朋友們吃火鍋,很好玩。)
S4:My favourite season is autumn, because it is a harvest season. In autumn, the ears of rice turn yellow, the sorghum is red, the apples are ripe. I can pick apples and I can also paint outdoors.
(生4:我最喜歡秋天。因為秋天是豐收的季節(jié),稻子黃了,高粱紅了,蘋果也熟透了,我不僅可以摘蘋果,還可以在戶外繪畫寫生呢。)
二、從具有昆明特色的事物引發(fā)的環(huán)保思考
T: You are right, kids. This is our beautiful hometown Kunming. It is warm throughout the year. It has blue sky, white clouds, fresh air and colorful plants. The “Spring City” Kunming is really a comfortable place to live in. As the saying goes:“every season brings its joy.” Spring, summer, autumn, winter, among the four seasons, what else can you see in Kunming?
(師:是呀,這就是我們美麗的家鄉(xiāng)昆明,它不僅有四季如春的氣候,還有藍天、白云、新鮮的空氣和五彩斑斕的花花草草,確實是宜于人類居住的地方。如同諺語所說:“春有百花秋有月,夏有涼風冬有雪?!蹦敲?,在昆明的春、夏、秋、冬四季中,你還能看到哪些風景?)
S1: In spring, lots of children go to Yuantongshan Zoo. They play games, enjoy sakura and have a picnic there.
(生1:我還看到昆明的春天,有很多小朋友去圓通山動物園玩,去玩游戲、賞櫻花、野餐。)
S2: There are so many jacarandas in Kunming. They blossom in summer. When they blossom, many people will enjoy them, especially on Jiaochang Road, Wuhua District.
(生2:我還看到昆明有許多藍花楹,它們都在夏天盛開,這個時候就會有許多人來欣賞藍花楹,尤其是在五華區(qū)的教場路。)
S3: In the autumn of Kunming, I can see golden ginkgo leaves, red maple leaves and so on. They are really colourful and beautiful.
(生3:在昆明的秋天,還可以看到黃色的銀杏葉、紅色的楓葉等,各種樹葉色彩斑斕,好看極了。)
S4: In the winter of Kunming, I often feed the seagulls in Haigeng Park. My family and I really enjoy the time when we live in harmony with the seagulls and the environment.
(生4:我在冬天的昆明,經常去海埂公園喂海鷗,與家人一起享受海鷗與人類和睦相處的樂趣與優(yōu)美環(huán)境。)
T: Kids, you are really the person who sets mind on the lives. And you all have the eyes to find beauties. When you enjoy the beauties of nature in Kunming, have you ever thought how we can build our homeland better? What can we do to protect our “Spring City” from pollution and harm?
(師:孩子們,你們真是生活的有心人,有一雙發(fā)現美的眼睛。你們在享受昆明之美的過程中是否想過,接下來我們該如何共建家園、保持美麗的春城不被污染,不受傷害呢?)
S1: We should care about the environment. Don’t litter any where to keep the soil from being polluted.
(生1:我們要愛護環(huán)境,不亂扔垃圾,不讓土壤受污染。)
S2: We should plant trees. Don’t cut casually to protect the environment.
(生2:我們要植樹造林,不亂砍濫伐以保護生態(tài)。)
S3: We need green travel: take the bus or ride shared bikes more often and drive less so that we can reduce air pollution.
(生3:我們要綠色出行,少開燃油車,多乘公交車或者騎共享單車,才能減少空氣污染。)
S4: We can read e-books and use recycle books to save paper and reduce cutting down the trees.
(生4:我們要多看電子書,多用循環(huán)書,才能節(jié)約用紙,減少對樹木的過度砍伐。)
T: You all have great ideas and I think you can do them well. We live in Kunming, all of us have the duty to protect it. We should plant more trees, grasses and flowers to build a better homeland. We should try our best to save water,save electricity and save paper. Even more, we shouldn’t waste food and we advocate “Clean Plate Campaign” in our daily life. Only in this way, the seagulls would love Kunming, the flowers would love Kunming, the blue sky would love Kunming as before...Let’s take actions to protect Kunming. Let’s make contributions to build Kunming better. I believe, with our efforts, the “Spring City” Kunming will become more and more beautiful. Can you do it?
(師:同學們想法很好,我認為你們也做得好。我們生活在昆明,每個昆明人都有責任保護好美麗的春城,我們不僅要在多栽花種草、植樹造林上共建家園,還要倡導節(jié)約用水、節(jié)約用電、節(jié)約用紙,更還要在光盤行動與反對鋪張浪費上做文章,才能繼續(xù)讓海鷗愛上昆明,鮮花愛上昆明,藍天愛上昆明……讓我們一起共護昆明,為昆明變得更好做貢獻。我相信,通過我們的努力,一定會讓春城昆明越來越亮麗。你們能做到嗎?)
整個討論中,學生在尋找喜歡某個季節(jié)的理由時,很多美好的經歷和回憶得到聯動,諸多帶有網紅性質的事物,如教場路的藍花楹、海埂公園的海鷗,更易激發(fā)學生對昆明這座城市的喜愛,對保護好昆明生態(tài)環(huán)境重要性的認同,思想政治教育功能以一種很自然的方式實現。同時,英語學習中聽說讀寫能力的訓練,尤其是口語能力的提升,得以同步完成。
