1.A toothbrush and a broom牙刷和掃帚

A: What will the toothbrush become when it grows older?

B: A broom.

甲：當這把牙刷老了的時候，它會變成什么呢？

乙：一把掃帚。

2.An automobile汽車

A: What has ten letters and starts with gas?

B: An automobile.

甲：什么東西由10 個字母組成，而且還靠汽油發(fā)動？

乙：汽車。

3.Because the bed won't come to you因為床不會到你這里來

Kid: Daddy,why do I have to go to bed?

Dad: Because the bed won’t come to you.

孩子：爸爸，我為什么要去床上睡覺？

爸爸：因為床不會到你這里來。

4.Tonight is the final game今晚是決賽

A man could not fall asleep at night,so he went to a doctor.He said to the doctor,“Doctor,every night in my dream I am playing soccer.”

The doctor said,“Take these pills.They will help you sleep better.”

The man said,“I can’t take them,as tonight is the final game.”

一個男人晚上睡不著，所以他去看醫(yī)生。他對醫(yī)生說：“醫(yī)生，每天晚上我都在夢中踢足球?！?/p>

醫(yī)生說：“吃這些藥，它們會幫助你睡好的?！?/p>

男人說：“我不能接受它們，因為今晚是決賽?！?/p>

5.Because there was extra time因為有加時賽

Tom is a primary school student.Yesterday,he went to class late,so his teacher Miss Mary asked him,“Why are you late?”

Tom told her,“I was dreaming of a Manchester United football match.”

But that did not make any sense for the teacher,so she asked,“Still why are you late?”

Tom answered,“Because there was extra time.”

湯姆是一名小學生。昨天，他上課遲到了，所以瑪麗老師問他：“你為什么遲到？”

湯姆告訴她：“我當時在做夢看一場曼聯(lián)足球賽?！?/p>

但這對老師來說毫無意義，所以她又問道：“還是那個問題，你為什么遲到？”

湯姆回答說：“因為有加時賽?！?/p>
