全球最具教育意義的設(shè)計教育獎（Design Educates Award）面向全球召集，旨在贊賞、展示和宣傳建筑與設(shè)計的教育潛力。不同于常規(guī)建筑競賽的評選標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，設(shè)計教育獎希望探尋設(shè)計和建筑長久的影響力。每年，評審團會在建筑設(shè)計、產(chǎn)品設(shè)計、通用化設(shè)計和響應(yīng)式設(shè)計四個領(lǐng)域中甄選杰出的設(shè)計概念和建成項目。除了主要獎項，設(shè)計教育獎還頒發(fā)了“新銳設(shè)計師獎”（頒發(fā)給最佳學(xué)生設(shè)計師），以及“Solarlux 選擇獎”。

設(shè)計教育獎的主辦方為拉卡基金會，是一家非盈利非政府組織。本獎項的主旨來自于Peter Kuczia 博士的教育建筑研究。

The world's most instructive design education award is convened worldwide to appreciate,demonstrate and publicize the educational potential of architecture and design.Different from the selection criteria of conventional architectural competitions,the Design Education Award hopes to explore the long-term influence of design and architecture.Every year,the jury will select outstanding design concepts and completed projects in the four fields of architectural design,product design,universal design and responsive design.In addition to the main awards,the design education award also awarded the "cutting edge Designer Award" (awarded to the best student designer) and the "solarlux Choice Award".

The 2021 Design Education Award is divided into the following Awards:(1) architectural design award,(2) product design award+New Designer Award,(3) general design award,(4) responsive design award,and (5) solarlux Choice Award.The winners and works in 2021 are as follows:(1) architectural design:zheshui village nature Bookstore/Luo Yujie studio;(2) Product design award+cutting edge Designer Award:gorolloe/Kristen tapping;(3) Gold Award for universal design:Braille meets emotions/Walda verbaenen;(4) Gold Award for responsive design:Villa Ypsilon/Lassa and collaborators;(5) Solarlux Choice Award:Dornbirn public library/Dietrich | untertrifaller with Christian schmoelz &PRISMA,schorndorf station/Schneider+Schumacher and partners.

The organizer of the design education award is the Laka foundation,a non-profit non-governmental organization.The theme of this award comes from Dr.Peter kuczia's research on educational architecture.
