7歲起，徐慧就與文房四寶結(jié)下不解之緣，“廢紙三千猶恨少，新詩半句亦矜多”。她的作品，無論是楷書還是行書，不僅陽剛雄厚，還剛中見柔，初步形成了飄逸俊秀、質(zhì)樸達觀、精細儒雅的藝術(shù)風格。也許是受曾經(jīng)的軍旅生涯的影響，筆鋒下還多了幾分軍人的沉穩(wěn)和干練。

當代知名青年書法家所泳興評其書法：“她的書風有豪放磅礴之氣勢，表現(xiàn)了一種高韻情真的境界；她用筆大膽剛健，多見膽識，有軍人的豪氣；她用墨飽滿、酣暢淋漓，字跡剛勁有力，字里行間能感覺到疏宕雅逸、奔放瀟灑的氣息?！?/p>

“學無止境，藝海無涯”，這是徐慧在書法創(chuàng)作中的感悟。她說：“我的作品遠非盡善盡美，還需不斷總結(jié)、提高、創(chuàng)新，在用筆、用墨、章法方面要進一步吸取古人及當代書法家之長處，揚長避短，精益求精。”“聽月臨池師古哲，枕星開卷法前賢”。相信今后她在創(chuàng)作之路上將煥發(fā)出奪目的光彩，展示出更加獨特的魅力。

徐慧，中央國家機關(guān)書法家協(xié)會會員，就職于科學技術(shù)部外國專家服務(wù)司。7歲起開始學習書法，擅長行楷。作品多次獲得全國書法比賽一、二、三等獎。2011年創(chuàng)作書法作品《詩詞》入選中國武警美術(shù)書法攝影作品展，作品于軍事博物館展出并收入作品集；2012年創(chuàng)作書法作品《后赤壁賦》獲第十一屆武警文藝獎三等獎；2017年作品入展中央國家機關(guān)學習習近平用典書法展；2021年書法小楷作品《習近平總書記人才工作論述》入展“永遠跟黨走”中央和國家機關(guān)慶祝中國共產(chǎn)黨成立100周年書畫攝影展；書法小楷作品《臣軌·慎密篇》獲得建黨一百周年保密宣傳教育作品征集評選活動二等獎。

Since the age of 7, Xu Hui has forged an indissoluble bond with the four treasures of study. “Scrapping 3,000 sheets of paper is not enough when practicing calligraphy; half a sentence is redundant when creating a new poem.” Her works, whether in regular script or running script, are not only masculine and strong, but also soft involved in rigidity, initially forming an artistic style that is elegant, simple and refined. Perhaps due to the influence of her previous military career, her brushwork has a bit more military composure and competence.

Suo Yongxing, a well-known contemporary young calligrapher, commented on her calligraphy,“Her style of calligraphy has a bold and majestic momentum, showing a realm of high rhythm and emotion; her brushwork is bold and robust, with much boldness and military bravado; with full and hearty ink, her handwriting is strong and powerful, and the breath of sparseness and elegance, spontaneity and dash can be felt among the lines.”

“There is no limit to learning, and the sea of art is endless.” This is what Xu Hui has learned in the creation of her calligraphy works. She said, “My works are far from perfect, and I still need to continue to summarize, improve and innovate, to further absorb the strengths of the ancients and contemporary calligraphers in the use of brush, ink and chapter, to maximize the strengths and avoid the weaknesses, and to strive for perfection.”“Appreciate the moon in the pond and learn from the ancient philosophers; unfold the scroll in the starlight and follow the seniors.” It is believed that in the future she will glow with a dazzling brilliance and show a more unique charm on the road of creation.

Xu Hui, a member of the Calligraphers Association of the Central State Organs, working in the Department of Foreign Experts Services of the Ministry of Science and Technology of PRC. She began to learn calligraphy at the age of 7 and writes a good hand of running-regular script.
