文化標(biāo)志“坊塔”

佛山坊塔大劇院位于坊城，是一個(gè)思維創(chuàng)新、前瞻性高的文化綜合體建筑群其中一部份。

以153米立足東平河畔的坊塔，位于坊城廣場(chǎng)大街的正北端，是佛山的標(biāo)志性建筑。坊塔由三大功能組成，分別是劇院部分、城市規(guī)劃展館部分及塔樓的會(huì)議展覽和休閑觀光部分。利用核心筒作為塔身主結(jié)構(gòu)，以方體構(gòu)筑了獨(dú)特的建筑外形，亦構(gòu)筑了一連串非傳統(tǒng)的空間經(jīng)驗(yàn)。坊塔以嶺南傳統(tǒng)漏窗的肌理為建筑外墻，配合其方體造型，表現(xiàn)出富傳統(tǒng)底蘊(yùn)的現(xiàn)代感。

參考一些西方大形現(xiàn)代藝術(shù)展覽空間的做法，塔樓亦提供一些超大尺度的空間，讓坊城可以定期邀請(qǐng)世界不同的藝術(shù)家在坊塔的大型空間進(jìn)行裝置藝術(shù)，制造坊城每一季度的話題。這里將會(huì)是佛山市文化產(chǎn)業(yè)走出國(guó)際的啟機(jī)，更是坊城孕育嶺南當(dāng)代文化藝術(shù)的地方。

Building blocks for music,theatre,art and commerce

The Foshan Opera is located within the Foshan Cultural District,a 320,000 m2masterplan designed by Henning Larsen and Godefroy & Tang Architects.The tower complex holds a 12,300 m2,1,200-seatcapacity opera,designed to accommodate both Western-style and Chinese performances.

Also housed within the complex is a 500-seat capacity multifunctional hall,the Foshan Urban and City Museum,and the Guangdong Contemporary Art Museum.Alongside the various cultural and performance spaces,commercial retailers,meeting spaces,cafes and restaurants are housed throughout the towered blocks.

At 156 meters in height,the Foshan Opera rises as a stack of cubes at the end of the new culturaldistrict’s kilometer-long thoroughfare.The recognizable tower becomes an emblem for the city and the new culturaldistrict.Balancing on four blocks,an opening is created at the base of the tower to create a threshold from the city into the new district.The patterned steel facade reflects vernacular architectural traditions while expressing a playful configuration that is both contemporary and bold.
