Abstract：with the deepening of the new curriculum reform， the domestic higher vocational English examination has been given more important significance. Due to the change of educational mechanism， it promotes the reform and innovation of practical English examination in higher vocational colleges. The new examination system puts forward higher requirements for higher vocational students and their mastery of practical English knowledge. In order to adapt to the practical requirements of practical English examination reform for students in higher vocational colleges， practical English related teaching mode also changes.

As we all know， English is the current international language. For some foreign enterprises overseas trade activities， it is necessary for high-tech talents who are proficient in English. As one of the basic compulsory courses in some colleges and universities， practical English will play a great role in the future development of students.

First， most students have relatively weak real English foundation， so they do not have good self-confidence in practical English subjects， and are prone to produce negative emotions such as conflict psychology and fear psychology. Secondly， Chinese students generally believe that practical English is useless in China， which is mainly because the students are exposed to different levels， and confine their eyes to the present and cultivate their own long-term vision. Students think that as long as they take professional courses seriously， they can deal with society and work， while practical English rarely appears in their social life and work content. Based on this， the rate of arrival of English at all levels in China is relatively low， and the enthusiasm of students in learning practical English is also generally low.

For any subject， the examination represents the test of students learning results in a quarter or a stage， especially practical English. However， cheating often occurs in most domestic practical English examinations， which seriously affects the quality of practical English test.

Although the implementation of the new education system has affected the practical English examination mechanism， the practical English examination mechanism also records the students daily average simulated test scores into the final exam， but the proportion of the other simulated tests is not high. The over absolute final examination brings great pressure on students， which makes students start to review “cramming duck” before the final examination， and constantly memorize the knowledge points of the exam. In fact， it is against the purpose of practical English teaching to learn practical English. Practical English learning is based on daily accumulation， not temporary Buddhist feet

As we all know， because of the current practice of the practice of English examination in China， the practice of multiple written tests and light oral examinations has made great obstacles to the implementation of paperless examination. In view of such problems， the national examination administration group can consider using the test bank to reduce the paper used for the examination， save the cost， reduce the workload of the examination staff， simplify the type of questions and the coverage of knowledge. Based on this， the reform mechanism of English examination in Higher Vocational Colleges and universities can be improved.

At present， the practical English education examination in China attaches great importance to the written test， thus neglecting the content setting of the spoken English test part of the practical English test， which leads to the imperfection of the domestic practical English test system. In view of such problems， the national examination affairs group should pay more attention to the increase of the content of the oral English test， so as to adjust the content of the practical English test The comparison can ensure the balance of the practical English examination system in China.

Based on the background of exam oriented education， students， parents and schools attach great importance to the quality of the results， thus neglecting the importance of the examination process. The final examination is indeed a test of the firm learning of practical English knowledge in a quarter or a stage. However， students can not only focus on their performance. Students need to pay more attention to the process of examination， carefully observe the examination type and content， compare with their review contents， check the deficiencies and omissions， and then improve themselves constantly.

This paper is for reference of relevant personnel， in order to contribute a small contribution to the reform and innovation of practical English test in China.
