        Abstract: With the development of society and the progress of the Times, the current life requires more and more talented people, not only to have professional cultural knowledge, but also to have comprehensive cultural literacy and learning ability. This reform and development has promoted the current reform of English teaching in colleges and universities, which requires English teachers to carry out blended teaching for English majors, combining the characteristics of English classes and the interests of students, so that students'self-study ability can be effectively promoted,? so that students can get better progress in English learning. However, there are some problems in English teaching in colleges and universities. The teaching of English is not focused on the cultivation of students'English core quality and comprehensive knowledge learning ability, it influences the students'English Foundation in colleges and universities, which has no effect on the cultivation of students'autonomous learning ability.

        As one of the indispensable courses in college English teaching,Basic English has the characteristics of long teaching time and wide teaching area. According to statistics,its class hours have reached 400 hours,credits are four to five times different courses,in general it is English major students must focus on the course. The aim of this course is to impart basic knowledge of grammar and vocabulary,and to promote studentsability of listening,speaking,reading and writing. At the same time,teachers should guide the studentslearning style in the concrete teaching interaction,so that their thinking ability can be effectively improved in the process of continuous training. This will lay a good foundation for further study in the future. In addition,the results of this course will also affect the progress of the follow-up courses,which will have an impact on the whole teaching system of talent training strategy. Therefore,we must constantly enrich the content of teaching,so as to ensure the cultivation of studentsbasic English skills.

        The following four basic laws of learning and teaching are particularly important. First,from passive learning to active learning. Second,pay attention to the accumulation of English knowledge. Third,create the corresponding conditions and learning atmosphere for English learning.
