在學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)的過(guò)程中,同學(xué)們一定會(huì)遇到我,難免與我——“賓語(yǔ)從句”交朋友。如果需要我?guī)兔?,我?dāng)然十分樂(lè)意。不過(guò),同學(xué)們應(yīng)先了解我,熟悉我的品性,我才幫得上忙。為此,我有幾句“知心話”要與同學(xué)們說(shuō)說(shuō)。
1. 我天生就用陳述句語(yǔ)序,不用疑問(wèn)句語(yǔ)序。
例:請(qǐng)告訴我你叫什么名字。
Please tell me what is your name.(×)
Please tell me what you name is.(√)
2. that可以省略,不要與用作引導(dǎo)詞的疑問(wèn)詞重復(fù)。
例:他問(wèn)誰(shuí)教我們英語(yǔ)。
He asked that who taught us English.(×)
He asked who taught us English.(√)
3. 引導(dǎo)詞要放在我的前面。
例:他問(wèn)那是誰(shuí)的孩子。
She asked that was whose child.(×)
She asked whose child that was.(√)
4. 我的時(shí)態(tài)一般應(yīng)與主句的時(shí)態(tài)呼應(yīng),主句是過(guò)去時(shí),我也用相應(yīng)的過(guò)去時(shí);但我在敘述客觀真理時(shí),用一般現(xiàn)在時(shí),不受主句限制。
例:他想知道誰(shuí)將給他們做報(bào)告。
He wondered who will give them a talk.(×)
He wondered who would give them a talk.(√)
例:她告訴他的孩子,地球繞著太陽(yáng)轉(zhuǎn)。
She told her child that the earth turned around the sun.(×)
She told her child that the earth turns around the sun.(√)
例:物理老師說(shuō),光比聲音速度快得多。
The physics teacher said that light traveled much faster than sound.(×)
The physics teacher said that light travels much faster than sound.(√)
