Zhou Hongru was born in Beijing in 1951. He started to learn painting since 1960 and was lucky enough to be taught by many senior painters. After decades of practice， he had made unique achievements on Chinese painting art. In 1985， Zhou Hongru was invited to visit California and held more than 20 personal exhibitions during the visit. He won various titles and awards in the United States， and his artworks were collected by collectors in the United States， Canada and Japan. Since 2015， he settled down in Beijing， and devoted the rest of his life to depict the great landscape of China. He strived to advocate Chinese culture under the Belt and Road Initiative， and make Chinese brush and ink culture glorious on the stage of world art.

周鴻儒，1951年生于北京，9歲開始習(xí)畫，又幸得王羽儀、王雪濤、秦仲文、謝詩(shī)妮等名畫家悉心指導(dǎo)，并與錢容之先生學(xué)習(xí)中國(guó)畫鑒賞，日后更精心研究清新羅山人畫法，將各名家精髓融會(huì)貫通，多年研習(xí)經(jīng)典，在中國(guó)繪畫藝術(shù)上取得了獨(dú)特成就。

1985年，周鴻儒先生應(yīng)邀赴美國(guó)加州舉辦個(gè)人畫展，旅美期間先后在洛杉磯、紐約、休斯敦、芝加哥等地舉辦過(guò)20余場(chǎng)個(gè)展，并用10年時(shí)間完成《美國(guó)大峽谷名山萬(wàn)里圖》百米長(zhǎng)卷。他的作品展出后榮獲金鑰匙、榮譽(yù)市民、文化特使等稱號(hào)，休斯敦市宣布1996年6月29日為“周鴻儒日”。其作品多為美國(guó)、加拿大、日本等國(guó)名人收藏。

2004年周鴻儒先生在上海舉辦畫展，2005年到家鄉(xiāng)山東舉辦繪畫捐贈(zèng)儀式，之后回國(guó)參加多項(xiàng)藝文活動(dòng)，2015年定居北京。2016、2019年在歐美同學(xué)會(huì)舉辦歌頌祖國(guó)山水畫個(gè)展，均獲好評(píng)。

揮筆不住，將祖國(guó)大好河山畫好，并在國(guó)家一帶一路倡導(dǎo)下，做好文化藝術(shù)宣傳，讓中國(guó)筆墨藝術(shù)在世界舞臺(tái)綻放光彩，是周鴻儒先生的余生夙愿。
