Winter vacation plan

How time flies， unconsciously the next winter vacation will soon come. In order to improve myself as well as enjoy a happy holiday， I made the winter vacation plan.

Firstly I want to continue with my study， I think study is a life process， so no matter what the situation I am in， I will look for chances to continue it. I have bought several new books， including those books on my major and some novels， I will try to finish reading them in the holiday and write notes.

Secondly， since it is the holiday， I will share it with my family and friends. You know the spring festival will soon come， I believe I would chatting and play games with my friends and family. I think I will enjoy the vacation.

My Favorite Book

My favorite novel is which is written by Jules Verne. The author was born in France and devoted himself to literature and wrote several scientific romances， which gained him the name—Father of Modern Science Fiction.

This is a book of science fiction which tells us an exciting story about an English gentleman， Mr. Phileas Fogg， who makes a bet with his clubmates and manages to travel around the world in eighty days. It gives us a vivid description of the many difficulties and incidents which happen on his journey.

From this story， we can see the authors deep love for the sea， travel and adventure， which played a vital role in his life. We are also astonished and convinced by his fertile imagination and scientific and geographical knowledge.

My Spring Festival

To tell you the truth， I dont like the Spring Festival at all. When I was young I liked it very much， because I could had something tasty to eat during the Spring Festival， and I could enjoy very wonderful TV programmes， too. I also could had much free time during which I could did something I liked to do. I dont like it now， there are many reasons.

Firstly， I cant have a good time during the Festival. Every New Years Eve something unpleasant often happens. Once I quarreled with my second brother.

Secondly， I cant relax myself during the Festival. I have to do many things， watch so many TV programmes， meet so many people，all these things make me very tired.

Thirdly， spending one Spring Festival means that I become one year older. I dont like to be old. I want to live longer and be young all the time.

Changes in Our Life

Over the past twenty years or so， great changes have taken place in our life. Take my family for example.

My parents contacted others mainly by sending them letters in the past. But now we Call long distance at home. And once my parents listened to the radio for news and other information. But now we get the news by watching TV. Another big change is in my living conditions. When they got married about twenty years ago， my parents lived in a small room crowded with fiirniture. But now we have moved into a big new three-room apartment. In short， our life has become comfortable and convenient.

Healthy eating habit

Eating patterns change over time. Ingredients cannot be seen before in a country might begin to appear in local markets， shipped from abroad. Migration causes cultures to change， and eating patterns invariably reflect new influences.

In the 20th century， few people have the time to go home for lunch， and many city dwellers find themselves in need of grabbing a bite to eat in a place close to their offices. As a result， the popularity of fast food and takeaway food has risen. In many urban areas， people who traditionally ate their main meal at midday now enjoy it in the evening， after work.

Changing eating patterns have an effect on other aspects of society. Meals have traditionally been times when members of a family catch up with each other. Fast food and quick meals sometimes threaten such family get-together.

On Confidence

As we all know， ‘Failure is the mother of success. But I just want to say‘Success is the baby of confidence.

First of all， confidence makes us happier in our life. Life is like a wonderful song， a bright and colorful painting. If confidence is with us in our life， we will find that life really becomes richer and more interesting.

Then， confidence makes us brave and courageous. If we lack confidence in ourselves， how can we overcome difficulties we meet with？ If we have no confidence in ourselves， how can we succeed in developing ourselves in the future？Without confidence， nothing can be accomplished. That is to say， if you want to win， you have to believe in yourself.

Finally， I would like to use the following words as our mutual encouragement：‘If you think you can， you can.

Happy Spring Festival

Spring Festival is the most important festival in China. Its to celebrate the lunar calendars new year. In the evening before the Spring Festival， families get together and have a big meal. In many places people like to set off firecrackers. Dumplings are the most traditional food. Children like the festival very much， because they can have delicious food and wear new clothes. They can also get some money from their parents. This money is given to children for good luck. People put New Year scrolls on the wall for good fortune.

The Spring Festival lasts about 15 days long. People visit relatives and friends with the words “Have all your wishes ”. People enjoy the Spring Festival， during this time they can have a good rest.

My Ideal Job

There are various kinds of jobs in the world， but different people are attracted by different jobs because everyone has his own interest and destination. Many people consider an ideal job as a means of making more money and living more comfortably. It may sound reasonable because money is the foundation of life.

As far as my ideal job is concerned， I think I want to be a psychologist， I have made up my mind to do what I really want to so that I can realize my ideal， I believe interest is of the utmost importance in choosing a job， I have been interested in psychology for a long time， so I want to be a psychologist in the future， I think being a psychologist can help lots of people lead a happier life.

However， it isnt easy for me to become a qualified psychologist and many people around me think that its unrealistic to me. NevertheLess， Ill make every effort to gain much more knowLedge， patience， methods， etc. to live up to the name of a qualified psychologist. I believe my dream will come true someday.
