        About finding job

So the first thing in my mind for job is one that can give me enough experience. Second, in order to make a warm-up for my future work, I want to get a job that relates to my major in university. Third, I want to improve my ability of communicating. So these are my goals in finding a job.

Before I go to realise it, I should make full preparations for it. First of all, I will determine what I want to do. It comes to my mind to be a personal teacher. Because it meets all my expectations. I major English in school, so I can use what I learn. Besides, I can really find a stranger to talk to and to study with. If I did well, I should be thanked and give another person some help.

Last but not least, being a personal teacher can get a good salary.

        How to Use the Library

A library is a building for a collection or books, magazines, periodicals and newspapers. The books are kept on the shelves in the stack room whereas the magazines, journals, etc. in the reading rooms. Modern libraries also have xerox rooms, and computer rooms.

If you want to borrow books, you can go to the loan desk, look over the correct call numbers in the card catalog and ask the librarian to take then, out for you. Or youre allowed to enter the stack room to rind books for yourself, you can look up the bound volume or index for the articles relative to the subject, on which you are going to write thesis. If the library doesnt subscribe to the magazine which carries the article you want, you can borrow the magazine from other libraries by means of interlibrary loan service.

Dont forget to show your library card or I.D. card to the librarian before you go into the reading room, where you can read magazines or newspapers. If you find a good article and want to keep it, you can have it duplicated in the xerox room. Besides, if you want to watch films or slides, you can ask the projectionist to play the videotape for you in the audio visual room, where you can also listen to language tapes and music tapes.

        A pleasant state of mind

Happiness can be described as a positive mood and a pleasant state of mind.

A good education and income are usually considered necessary for happiness. But the rich are not sure to be happier than the middle-income group or even those with very low incomes. People with a college education are somewhat happier than those who did not graduate from high school; It is believed that this mainly because they have more opportunities to control their lives. Yet people without a college education may be less happy than those with a college education. Moreover, having good health can be very important to people because they can feel happy and have energy to do what they would like to do. Nevertheless, poor health does not rule out happiness except for the dying or those in great pain. It should be noted that people quickly get used to what they have, and they are happier when they feel they are increasing their level no matter how little it has been improved.

The best formula for happiness is to be able to develop the ability to tolerate frustration, to have a personal involvement and commitment, and to develop self-confidence and self-esteem.

        The First Snow

The first snow came. How beautiful it was, falling so silently all day long, all night long, on the mountains, on the meadows, on the roofs of the living, on the graves of the dead! All white save the river, that marked its course by a winding black line across the landscape; and the leafless trees, that against the leaden sky now revealed more fully the wonderful beauty and intricacies of their branches. What silence, too, came with the snow, and what seclusion! Every sound was muffled, every noise changed to something soft and musical. No more tramping hoofs, no more rattling wheels! Only the chiming of the sleigh-bells, beating as swift and merrily as the hearts of children.

        Do Mobiles Distract Study?

Wherever you are, you can see many people equipped with mobile phones. It seems that the world becomes smaller nowadays. You could be found wherever you are so long as you take the mobile phone with you. And mobile phones are also becoming a new scene on campus.

Students think it is extremely convenient for them to communicate with the outside world by using mobile phones, especially when they are hunting for jobs, so they call it an essential investment.

Education experts analyze the entry of mobile phones into campus as an indication of social progress. And mobile phones have been considered advanced for its attractive functions. The youth of today send messages, surf on the net, listen to music and even take photos by using their mobile phones. To some extent, it reflects that college students are more and more involved in this modern society, rather than pedants in the “Ivory Tower”.

As a coin has two sides, the mobile phone, while providing convenience, causes trouble too. In classrooms, the untimely ringing interrupts lectures and destroys the atmosphere of study, so it prompts many complaints. And the mobile phone users themselves also suffer.

Therefore, we need to think more about how to integrate mobile phones properly into our lives.

        How to Relax after Exams

Exam is something which most students are extremely afraid of. It is even referred to by some students as nothing but anxiety-makers. Frankly speaking, everyone is worried and anxious before exams. Some students are so worried and anxious that they cant fall asleep at night, which will lead to poor performance in the exams. This, in turn, makes them nervous even when the exams are over.

If it is reasonable to be worried and anxious before exams, it is certainly not reasonable to be so after the exams. What we should clo is to relax completely. But when asked, some students say that they really have no idea how to do so.

The following are what I usually do after exams. First, dont make too big a deal about scores. Exam is only a way to test how much youve learned about the subject. It enables you and your teacher to know where your shortcomings lie. The world will not end if you fail in one exam. It helps to relax yourself if you realize this. Second, listen to some music. Light music or classical music would be the best. The beautiful melody will bring you into a world filled with joy and happiness. Finally, participate in any kind of sport games you like. It will help you to relax both mentally and physically.
