河南省介紹

[1]河南是中華民族和文明的重要發(fā)源地。中國四大發(fā)明中，指南針、造紙技術和火藥都發(fā)明于河南。河南擁有厚重的文化歷史、大量的歷史文物，文物數(shù)量居全國首位。[2]河南擁有大量的歷史文物和文化遺跡，8處國家級風景名勝、358個國家重點文物保護單位、4個世界級地質公園、11個國家級自然保護區(qū)。

【譯析】

就題目而言，“河南省介紹”一般譯成 An Introduction of Henan Province，但introduction 的意思為 the part that comes at the beginning and tells you what the rest of the book or talk is about，而該文是對河南省的一個較全面但簡略的勾勒，故可用profile，其意為an analysis representing the extent to which something exhibits various characteristics，如：The newspaper publishes a profile of an emerging incorporation every week.（該報每周刊登一篇關于新公司的簡介。）

[1]中，“中國四大發(fā)明中，指南針、造紙技術和火藥都發(fā)明于河南”是“中華民族和文明的重要發(fā)源地”的并列句，都是對河南特點的描述，故在譯文中可以調(diào)整詞序，使結構更為緊湊，即將Henan作主語，將“where three of the four well-known Chinese inventions—the compass， paper-making technology and gunpower—originated”作定語從句，之后的部分可以用動名詞接續(xù)。同時，鑒于原文本段末句與下段前句內(nèi)容有所重疊，可在譯文中進行某些“合并”。

[2]中，由于部分內(nèi)容已在上面譯出，故可稍加簡化，如可從It has 8 national-level scenic spots… 開始?！皣抑攸c文物保護單位”可譯為key state protection units for cultural relics。

[6]中，“一帶一路”應遵照官方譯法，即the Belt and Road（縮寫B(tài)&R，全稱the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road）?！啊粠б宦贰h”為the Belt and Road Initiative。同時，要在譯文中使兩個“河南”建立聯(lián)系，但又不重復，故可采用句式“As an important center of …， Henan has…”。

[7]中，“要以其更有吸引力的政策”“更友好的營商環(huán)境”是狀語，可用With…處理。“廣迎四海賓客”則可為動賓結構welcomes guests from all over the world。“互利共贏”為mutually beneficial win-win results。

[1] Henan Province， where three of the four well-known Chinese inventions—the compass， paper-making technology and gunpower—originated， is an important birthplace of the Chinese nation and civilization， having profound historical and cultural heritage and ranking first in cultural relics. [2] It has 8 national-level scenic spots， 358 key state protection units for cultural relics， 4 world-class geological parks and 11 national-level nature reserves in the Province.

[3] Henan is also an important economic province in China. In 2017， its gross domestic product ranked fifth in China with a GDP of 4.4988 trillion yuan and 47，130 yuan per capita， an increase of 7.8% and 7.4% respectively over the previous year. [4] The Province’s grain cultivation covers an area of 10.135 million hectares， with a grain yield of 59.734 million tons， an increase of 268，000 tons over the previous year.
