《普通高中英語課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)(2017年版)》在“高中英語學(xué)業(yè)質(zhì)量水平二”部分將書面表達(dá)的“質(zhì)量描述”闡釋為“能在表達(dá)中借助語言建構(gòu)交際角色,體現(xiàn)跨文化意識(shí)和情感態(tài)度”“能在表達(dá)過程中有目的地選擇詞匯和語法結(jié)構(gòu),確切表達(dá)意思,體現(xiàn)意義的邏輯關(guān)聯(lián)性”。
那么,怎樣在書面表達(dá)中借助語言建構(gòu)交際角色,體現(xiàn)交際意識(shí),特別是跨文化意識(shí)和情感態(tài)度呢?本文以2016—2018年高考英語全國(guó)卷Ⅰ為例進(jìn)行探討。

(一)首先,對(duì)比2016年全國(guó)卷Ⅰ書面表達(dá)的兩篇學(xué)生習(xí)作:

在這兩篇學(xué)生習(xí)作中,高級(jí)詞匯和復(fù)雜句式的使用難分伯仲,但兩篇習(xí)作所體現(xiàn)的交際意識(shí)相差甚遠(yuǎn)。
學(xué)生習(xí)作1存在兩個(gè)問題:跨文化交際不當(dāng)、缺乏意義的邏輯關(guān)聯(lián)性,這就導(dǎo)致交際效果被削弱。
首先,“貧困”是個(gè)敏感話題。筆者發(fā)現(xiàn),論述英語委婉語的許多文獻(xiàn)都提及poor一詞。該詞是個(gè)慎用詞,又因其信息模糊、詞義效度不高,常被be laid off,less well off, needy等詞或短語代替。需要注意的是,西方文化是鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生打工自立的,也就是說,打工與家庭貧富不應(yīng)存在必然的因果關(guān)系。其次,“I'll gain working experience and improve my English”同為打工目的,但與“My family is poor”前后脫節(jié),互無關(guān)聯(lián)。相比之下,學(xué)生習(xí)作2中的“In order to learn from hands-on experience”就非常貼近西方文化。換句話說,以打工自立為求助理由,較容易達(dá)到交際目的?!癐 have a limited vocabulary”和“Some improper words and expressions may exist”兩句作為求助理由則順理成章,與上文邏輯連貫,交際效果得以優(yōu)化。
(二)2017年全國(guó)卷Ⅰ書面表達(dá)命題本身突出中國(guó)文化,但因考生要點(diǎn)拓展方向各異,作答效果截然不同。請(qǐng)看下面兩篇學(xué)生習(xí)作:

這樣兩篇文章放在一起,高下立見。學(xué)生習(xí)作1存在三個(gè)問題:“I'm very fond of Tang poems”——“我”方思維模式,減弱交際效果;“where the air is fresh and scenery is beautiful”—— 要點(diǎn)拓展散亂、不合理;“Looking forward to your early reply”—— 結(jié)尾盲目套用成句,未體現(xiàn)交際真實(shí)性。對(duì)比之下,學(xué)生習(xí)作2中的“I'm more than delighted to see that you have made great progress in your Chinese study”——開篇與寫作背景高度吻合;“It's magically beautiful and enjoys great fame in Chinese culture”—— 要點(diǎn)拓展客觀,弘揚(yáng)中國(guó)文化,彰顯唐詩地位,兼使對(duì)方樂于接受該學(xué)習(xí)內(nèi)容安排;“If it is inconvenient for you, please let me know”—— 結(jié)尾句從目標(biāo)讀者角度出發(fā),體現(xiàn)情感態(tài)度,有利于溝通。對(duì)比之下,學(xué)生習(xí)作2做到了《普通高中英語課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)(2017年版)》所倡導(dǎo)的“能在表達(dá)中借助語言建構(gòu)交際角色,體現(xiàn)跨文化意識(shí)和情感態(tài)度”“能在表達(dá)過程中有目的地選擇詞匯和語法結(jié)構(gòu),確切表達(dá)意思,體現(xiàn)意義的邏輯關(guān)聯(lián)性?!?/p>
(三)2018年全國(guó)卷Ⅰ書面表達(dá)命題以中國(guó)習(xí)俗為主題,遺憾的是仍有不少考生拓展不當(dāng),沖淡主題,不利交際。請(qǐng)看下面兩篇學(xué)生習(xí)作:

學(xué)生習(xí)作1中存在兩處交際不當(dāng):“so that you can help the family prepare the dinner, which is fun and interesting”雖無語法錯(cuò)誤,但通過審題可知Terry作為一個(gè)外國(guó)人向中國(guó)的“李華”求教,應(yīng)是希望了解中國(guó)的作客禮儀,而此句僅從朋友、樂趣角度出發(fā)說明建議理由,未能很好地滿足跨文化交際需求;將“a Chinese knot”作為禮物送給中國(guó)朋友,建議不當(dāng)。學(xué)生習(xí)作2則充分注意關(guān)注目標(biāo)讀者的信息需求,同時(shí)傳播中國(guó)文化,體現(xiàn)命題宗旨,結(jié)尾體現(xiàn)真實(shí)交際情境。
通過以上對(duì)比可知,僅注意使用高級(jí)詞匯、豐富句式及書寫工整的書面表達(dá)不一定就是一篇好文章,缺失交際意識(shí),特別是跨文化交際意識(shí),便是“硬傷”之一。
書面表達(dá)中的交際及跨文化交際不當(dāng)?shù)娘@性原因是學(xué)生語言表達(dá)能力不足,其隱性原因是思維能力欠缺、文化意識(shí)差、相關(guān)語言文化知識(shí)儲(chǔ)備不足等。解決策略值得深入探究,此文僅建議如下:
寫作教學(xué),從小的層面講是服務(wù)高考;從大的層面講是服務(wù)學(xué)生能力素養(yǎng)的長(zhǎng)遠(yuǎn)發(fā)展。有句話叫作“文如其人”,必須承認(rèn)的是,寫作既是學(xué)生語言知識(shí)水平的顯現(xiàn),也是學(xué)生文化意識(shí)和思維品質(zhì)的反映。在教學(xué)過程中如果教師沒有對(duì)學(xué)生進(jìn)行足夠的文化意識(shí)和思維品質(zhì)的培養(yǎng),只重視對(duì)其進(jìn)行基本的語言知識(shí)的傳授,學(xué)生寫出來的作文,不論含有何種高級(jí)詞匯和句式,都可能暴露出學(xué)生思維能力、交際能力、特別是跨文化交際能力不足的問題。
書面表達(dá)教學(xué)必須提升到立足學(xué)生長(zhǎng)遠(yuǎn)發(fā)展的層面,只有提升學(xué)生的思維品質(zhì)、培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的文化意識(shí)、堅(jiān)定學(xué)生的文化自信,才能使學(xué)生真正體驗(yàn)到語言交流的功能與魅力之所在,才能在高考英語書面表達(dá)中有上佳表現(xiàn)。
《普通高中英語課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)(2017年版)》(以下簡(jiǎn)稱《課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)》)對(duì)“普通高中英語課程主題語境內(nèi)容要求”以“生活與學(xué)習(xí)”“做人與做事”等10大項(xiàng)、32子項(xiàng)進(jìn)行明確闡釋。《課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)》在“語用知識(shí)內(nèi)容要求”選擇性必修部分明確指出學(xué)生應(yīng)能“根據(jù)交際場(chǎng)合的正式程度、行事程序及與交際對(duì)象的情感距離,選擇正式或非正式、直接或委婉的語言形式,理解和表達(dá)道歉、請(qǐng)求、祝愿、建議、拒絕、接受等,達(dá)到預(yù)期的交際效果?!睘榇?,教師要認(rèn)真研讀《課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)》,拓寬對(duì)主題語境的認(rèn)知,參照相關(guān)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)要求有意識(shí)地做好日常教學(xué)積累工作。
書面表達(dá)異于閱讀理解等其他所有題型之處是答案不具唯一性、水準(zhǔn)各異,使用成題的題海戰(zhàn)術(shù)并不是很奏效。寫作教學(xué)應(yīng)結(jié)合課標(biāo)、《考試大綱》,依據(jù)《普通高中課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)實(shí)驗(yàn)教科書》目錄中的教學(xué)安排規(guī)范教學(xué),系統(tǒng)訓(xùn)練。建議優(yōu)選成題、研讀答案、適度修改。同時(shí)建議依據(jù)《考試大綱》中的“功能意念項(xiàng)目表”和“話題項(xiàng)目表”及《普通高中英語課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)(2017年版)》研創(chuàng)新題、研創(chuàng)答案,既可省去題海戰(zhàn)術(shù)之苦,亦可有效遏制答案水平不一對(duì)學(xué)生寫作成長(zhǎng)過程的干擾。
筆者認(rèn)為,寫作教學(xué)或許沒有捷徑,但依據(jù)《課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)》《考試大綱》和教材規(guī)范教學(xué),至少可以少走彎路。
“目標(biāo)讀者”(addressee)是指“預(yù)期的目標(biāo)文本接受者”。寫作應(yīng)該是互動(dòng)的,教師在日常教學(xué)中,要注意培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的目標(biāo)讀者意識(shí),提醒考生在寫作時(shí)要考慮以下問題:“我”要寫給誰?寫作目的是什么?要傳達(dá)哪些主要信息?自己和他或她的關(guān)系是怎樣的?他或她讀后可能會(huì)有怎樣的反應(yīng)?從目標(biāo)讀者出發(fā)構(gòu)思全篇完成的寫作與自說自話式的“湊字文”所體現(xiàn)的交際效果完全不同。
教師還要有效地幫助學(xué)生優(yōu)化寫作策略,完善寫作過程:
首先,開篇切題,避免千篇一律。策略:認(rèn)真審題,不忽略要點(diǎn)之外的背景信息,要依據(jù)交際任務(wù)和交際對(duì)象得體地選擇詞匯和語法結(jié)構(gòu)。例如,同為通知,書面通知與口頭通知、郵件通知開篇不同;同為邀請(qǐng),目標(biāo)讀者為外教與筆友、同學(xué)用詞各異。
其次,布局嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)、謀篇緊湊,體現(xiàn)意義的邏輯關(guān)聯(lián)。策略:要點(diǎn)拓展?jié)M足交際需要,關(guān)注跨文化差異,彰顯思維品質(zhì),避免寫作隨意性。
再次,結(jié)尾靈活變通、不落俗套,體現(xiàn)交際真實(shí)性。策略:呼應(yīng)開頭、呼應(yīng)要點(diǎn)、呼應(yīng)寫作目的,或結(jié)合當(dāng)前話題進(jìn)一步加深情感。
綜上所述,書面表達(dá)高分要素,依筆者之見,要點(diǎn)清晰全面為骨,詞匯高級(jí)、語法豐富恰如其分為肉,文化交際為靈魂。有骨無肉,形容枯槁;有肉無魂,有形無神。只有形神兼?zhèn)洳趴胺Q高檔。
