澳大利亞人簡單、輕松、有趣的一面在海灘上展現(xiàn)無疑。置身于充足的陽光下，面朝大海，一切偽裝、壓抑和焦慮均消失不見，人與自然之間新的關(guān)系隨之形成。這是一種美妙的體驗(yàn)，“在沙灘上”，人們與天、地、海等原始自然力量充分接觸，陶醉于風(fēng)景的美麗和變幻莫測。

亨利海灘（Henley Beach）位于南澳大利亞州圣文森特灣（St. Vincent Gulf），是阿德萊德（Adelaide）的一個(gè)海濱村莊。人們在這里舉辦帆船比賽、運(yùn)動嘉年華和游泳比賽等活動，也常在碼頭和濱海路上漫步休閑，因此這里一直是阿德萊德市的一個(gè)海濱勝地。近年來，不當(dāng)?shù)母深A(yù)手段和現(xiàn)存設(shè)施的移除導(dǎo)致亨利海灘逐漸衰落，亟待復(fù)興。

TCL公司與特洛普建筑事務(wù)所（Troppo Architects）的合作設(shè)計(jì)將亨利海灘曾經(jīng)的歡樂重新帶回阿德萊德。設(shè)計(jì)充分挖掘場地潛力，通過多層次的表達(dá)提升場地活力，將多元化的社區(qū)活動引入場地空間，結(jié)合優(yōu)美的海景，營造這一具有歷史氛圍的海濱活動場所。

這不是一個(gè)不切實(shí)際的項(xiàng)目，而是一次注重公眾體驗(yàn)的設(shè)計(jì)。設(shè)計(jì)由3種公眾體驗(yàn)組成，提供了各式各樣的海灘娛樂活動。

廣場

亨利廣場連接主街和海灘空間，包含一系列精致的水景和由廢棄材料制成的雕塑小品，景觀風(fēng)格統(tǒng)一，兼具趣味性與參與性。這個(gè)廣場曾經(jīng)是一個(gè)過渡空間，現(xiàn)在作為重要的社區(qū)集會場所，供當(dāng)?shù)厝撕陀慰途蹠?、用餐與休閑娛樂。

全新的具有頂棚結(jié)構(gòu)的構(gòu)筑物形成了廣場的主要框架，為戶外座椅和用餐空間提供遮蔭，同時(shí)為側(cè)面的歷史建筑保留良好的觀賞視角。

2 設(shè)計(jì)思路Choreography

漫步環(huán)路

新的海灘公園為人們提供了欣賞天空和海景的廣闊視野，也為日常休閑及娛樂活動提供場所。

外部的漫步環(huán)路作為公園的結(jié)構(gòu)骨架，串聯(lián)了一系列景觀節(jié)點(diǎn)，包括露天表演場、游泳后使用的淋浴設(shè)施、戲水設(shè)施、林蔭空間、景墻、座椅和平臺等。

新建的坡道和平臺吸引著人們進(jìn)入海灘，為那些尋找座位、享受日光浴或穿行的人們提供了場所。

延伸棧橋

著名的亨利海灘棧橋作為連接主街和海灘的新樞紐，向海洋深處延伸。這個(gè)簡單的伸縮手法使得碼頭成為主要的游覽點(diǎn)和觀賞點(diǎn)。從活力廣場到有趣的“波紋躺椅”休憩空間，再到觀景臺，整個(gè)路徑完美連接了深受游客喜愛的棧橋和海灣空間。

亨利廣場的設(shè)計(jì)再一次激活了這里的海濱鄉(xiāng)村生活，其成功之處便在于對澳大利亞海灘文化精粹的傳承。

7～8 廣場夜景Night view of the square

At the beach, Australian’s laconic, relaxed and playful characters are certainly amplif i ed. Here with the sting of the sun and the moods of the ocean, inhibitions, clothes and worries are shed and new relationships formed. “Down at the beach”everyone connects to the liminal and elemental force of sky, sea and land. It is a joyful experience,where people revel in the beauty of the landscape and the exhilaration of its ever-changing characters.

Henley Beach, a seaside village of Adelaide,located on the St. Vincent Gulf in South Australia has always been a popular seaside destination for the City of Adelaide, as a place for sailing regattas, sports carnivals, swimming in the sea and promenading on the jetty and walkways. Over the years, various formulaic interventions and the removal of some its more enticing elements, had resulted in a setting that was clumsy, worn out and in need of rejuvenation.

TCL with Troppo Architects have reconnected Adelaide to the joys of Henley Beach. The design recognises its “good bones”, edits out the superf l uous and provides layers of contemporary expression to enhance the special qualities inherent in this place.Diverse communities are now brought together in playful spaces that celebrate this historic setting with its sublime outlook to the sea.

This is not a setting for serious highbrow gestures,quite the opposite, this is a site for some serious beach fun, and comprises three public experiences.

The Square

Henley Square forms the threshold between Main Street and the beach. A delicate scrim of water and a flotsam of sculpted objects, are used to unite the setting and invite playful interaction.This plaza, once a site of transition, is now a major community destination, a true meeting place where locals and visitors meet, dine and are entertained.

Reminiscent of grand follies from the past,new canopy structures frame the square and provide crucial shade to outdoor seating and dining areas, and allow uninterrupted views to the historic buildings f l anking the space.

The Promenade Loop

A new beach park offers big views to sky and ocean and a setting for informal recreation, chance encounters and organised events.

The park is framed by a continuous promenade loop connecting a sequence of destinations and providing a revitalised people watching passeggiata, furnished with whimsical showers for after swim rinses and waterplay, shade shelters, new edges, walls, seats and terraces.

Access to the Beach is enhanced via new ramps, and terraces, providing opportunities for those seeking seating, sunbathing, or traversing.

The Extended Jetty

The famous Henley Beach jetty is drawn further into the site, as a new armature connecting Main Street to the Beach. This simple telescopic gesture,heralds the Jetty as a major destination and desire line. It’s expression transforms along its length from activated plaza, to playful “ripple lounge” seating spaces, to belvedere, providing new connections to the well-loved jetty and the gulf beyond.

The outcome is a revitalisation of seaside village life, where success is measured in how it has contributed to the celebration of the quintessential Australian beach culture.
