By 2022， German exhibition venues plan to invest around 900 million euros in modernising exhibition halls and enhancing service quality， but also in building new facilities. At the beginning of 2018， Germanys exhibition venues had a total capacity of 2，835，922 sqm hall space， or 1.4% more than the year before （2，795，509 sqm in 2017）.

The Las Vegas Convention Center Phase Two is an $860 million expansion project that will add 1.4 million square feet to the nearly 60-year-old facility， including at least 600，000 square feet of new， leasable exhibit space. The expansion is slated for completion in time to welcome CES in 2021.

A recent survey results show that commercial mediation is a conflict resolution mechanism not used to treat B2B， external disputes in the exhibitions industry. 47% state that they do not use mediation to address contractual disagreements with industry partners. A minority， namely 26.5%， state the use of mediation. This pattern can be found in the Americas， Europe and the Middle East.

Africa appears to be an exception， as 80% of surveyed exhibition industry professionals claim to have used mediation to address external conflicts in the past. The lowest rate of mediation use is found in Asia-Pacific， where only 10% have used commercial mediation when facing disagreements.

The Italian Exhibition Group （IEG） has presented details about its project to upgrade and expand Fiera di Vicenza which will involve an investment of 35 million euros， it will cover a total surface area of 26，000 square metres.

At the end of April， the MCH Group， Basle， successfully and for the first time placed a CHF 100 million bond on the Swiss capital market. The market reacted highly positively to the issue. The bond has a coupon rate of 1.875 % and a term of 5 years.

The Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre （OCEC）s convention facilities have been opened in Muscat. The purpose built centre now offers two ballrooms （including the largest ballroom in Oman）， a 456 tiered-seat theatre， 22 meeting rooms.

These new areas complement existing five exhibition halls that feature 22，396 square metres of column-free exhibition space and 10 hospitality suites as well as a multi-storey car park with a capacity for 4，000 vehicles. With the new areas spanning 4，576 square metres， the total current event space has now reached 48，632 sq metres.
