◎要點(diǎn)梳理

英語中，大多數(shù)形容詞和副詞都有三個(gè)等級(jí)，即原級(jí)、比較級(jí)和最高級(jí)。

揭秘一：形容詞或副詞原級(jí)的用法

當(dāng)形容詞或副詞之前有表示程度的副詞so、very、quite、rather等修飾時(shí)，用形容詞或副詞的原級(jí)。表示兩者在某方面相同時(shí)，用“as+形容詞或副詞原級(jí)+as”結(jié)構(gòu)，表示“……和……一樣……”；表示一方在某方面不及另一方時(shí)，用“not as/so+形容詞或副詞的原級(jí)+as”結(jié)構(gòu)，表示“……不如……”。例如：

This story is as interesting as that one.這個(gè)故事和那個(gè)故事一樣有趣。

She doesn’t study as/so hard as her brother.她學(xué)習(xí)不如她哥哥努力。

揭秘二：形容詞或副詞比較級(jí)的用法

形容詞或副詞的比較級(jí)表示兩者間的比較，常用于“形容詞或副詞比較級(jí)+than”結(jié)構(gòu)中，表示“……比……更……”。than后可接比較狀語從句，也可接名詞、代詞等，如果是人稱代詞，主格、賓格都可以使用。例如：

I am more outgoing than my friend.我比我的朋友更外向。

Try to do better next time.下次爭(zhēng)取干得好一點(diǎn)。

比較級(jí)前可使用much、even、far、a little、a lot等修飾語，有時(shí)也可以加表示數(shù)量的詞。例如：

She jumps much higher than Mary.她跳得比瑪麗高得多。

Mike ran a little faster than his classmate in the race.在比賽中，邁克比他的同學(xué)跑得快一點(diǎn)兒。

My friend is three years younger than me.我的朋友比我小三歲。

【知識(shí)拓展】

形容詞或副詞的比較級(jí)的幾種特殊形式：

1.“the+形容詞或副詞的比較級(jí)+of the two”，意為“兩者中比較……的”。例如：

Nick is the cleverer of the two children.尼克是這兩個(gè)孩子中較聰明的那個(gè)。

2.“（單音節(jié)或部分雙音節(jié)形容詞或副詞的)比較級(jí)+and+(單音節(jié)或部分雙音節(jié)形容詞或副詞的)比較級(jí)”，意為“越來越……”；當(dāng)部分雙音節(jié)或多音節(jié)形容詞或副詞表示這一意義時(shí)，應(yīng)用“more and more+形容詞或副詞原級(jí)”結(jié)構(gòu)。例如：

The weather is getting worse and worse.天氣變得越來越糟糕了。

The city is becoming more and more beautiful.這個(gè)城市變得越來越美麗了。

3.“the+形容詞或副詞的比較級(jí)，the+形容詞或副詞的比較”意為“越……，越……”。例如：

The better the bamboo grows,the more food the pandas will have.竹子生長(zhǎng)得越好，大熊貓的食物就越多。

4.“形容詞或副詞的比較級(jí)+than any other+單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞+同一范圍”，意為“比其他任何……都……”；“形容詞或副詞比較級(jí)+than any+單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞+不同范圍”，意為"比……中任何……都……”。例如：

Linda is taller than any other student in our class.在我們班，琳達(dá)比其他任何學(xué)生都高。

Mary is thinner than any student in her brother’s class.瑪麗比她弟弟班里任何一個(gè)學(xué)生都瘦。

5.“...times+形容詞或副詞的比較級(jí)+than...”表示倍數(shù)。例如：

This village is four times bigger than that one.這個(gè)村莊比那個(gè)村莊大四倍。

6.在含有or的選擇疑問句中，如果有兩者供選擇，要用形容詞或副詞的比較級(jí)的形式。例如：

Which bike is newer,this one or that one?哪輛自行車更新，這輛還是那輛？

【溫馨提示】

比較雙方必須是同類事物，即人與人、物與物進(jìn)行比較。如“我的書包比吉姆的貴。”應(yīng)譯成“My schoolbag is more expensive than Jim’s.”，而不能譯成“My schoolbag is more expensive than Jim.”。

揭秘三：形容詞或副詞最高級(jí)的用法

形容詞或副詞的最高級(jí)表示三者或三者以上人或物的比較，句中可用in、of、among介詞短語或定語從句等來說明比較的范圍。通常情況下，形容詞最高級(jí)前要使用定冠詞，但當(dāng)形容詞最高級(jí)前有形容詞性物主代詞、名詞所有格等修飾語時(shí)，不用定冠詞；副詞最高級(jí)前用不用定冠詞都可以。例如：

I think the movie is the most boring of all.在所有影片中，我認(rèn)為這部最枯燥。

The little boy is my best friend.那個(gè)小男孩是我最好的朋友。

Bob runs(the)fastest in our class.在我們班鮑勃跑得最快。

【知識(shí)拓展】

形容詞或副詞最高級(jí)的幾種特殊形式：

1.“one of the+形容詞最高級(jí)+復(fù)數(shù)名詞或復(fù)數(shù)賓格代詞”意為“……中最……之一”。例如：

Mr.Smith is one of the most popular teachers in our school.史密斯先生是我們學(xué)校最受歡迎的老師之一。

2.“the+序數(shù)詞+形容詞最高級(jí)+單數(shù)名詞”表示“第幾最……”。例如：

Is Hainan Island the second largest island in China?海南島是中國的第二大島嗎？

3.在含有or的選擇疑問句中，如果有三者或三者以上供選擇，要用形容詞或副詞的最高級(jí)形式。例如：

Who sings best,David,Dale or Dave?誰唱得最好，戴維、戴爾還是戴夫？
