Born in Shandong Province in 1946， Wang Tiansheng now is vice-chairman of China Culture Promotion Association， research fellow of the Painting and Calligraphy Academy of the Central Research Institute of Culture and History， member of China Artists Association， and specially-invited artist of Xinhua Academy of Painting and Calligraphy etc. He has participated in various exhibitions and won grand prizes. Moreover， he also has published dozens of painting collections.

王天勝，1946年12月生，祖籍山東文登。中國文化產(chǎn)業(yè)促進會副會長、中央文史館書畫院研究員、新華通訊社新華畫院特聘高級美術(shù)師、中國美術(shù)家協(xié)會會員。曾任中國工筆畫學(xué)會副會長兼秘書長十余載，解放軍藝術(shù)學(xué)院學(xué)術(shù)委員會委員、美術(shù)系副主任、中國畫教研室主任、中國畫教授。

作品入選第六至第十一屆全國美展、歷屆全國工筆畫展、歷屆全軍美展、中國畫百年展、“世紀(jì)風(fēng)骨——當(dāng)代藝術(shù)50家”等全國性美術(shù)大展及省以上美展百余次，獲全國第二、第四屆工筆畫大展金獎等全國性獎項30余次。

出版有《王天勝畫集》《名家名畫》《王天勝工筆肖像》等十余部畫集。
