        教材內(nèi)容與分析

        新目標(biāo)英語(yǔ)八年級(jí)下冊(cè)第八單元的語(yǔ)言目標(biāo)是“談?wù)摰乩砗妥匀弧?。在八年?jí)上冊(cè)學(xué)習(xí)了形容詞和副詞的比較級(jí)和最高級(jí)的基礎(chǔ)上,Section A 的內(nèi)容要求學(xué)生對(duì)形容詞的各個(gè)級(jí)別進(jìn)行更加深入的學(xué)習(xí),主要涉及較大數(shù)字的表達(dá),形容詞比較級(jí)的修飾詞,形容詞的原級(jí)、比較級(jí)、最高級(jí)的一些特殊句型。本節(jié)課的內(nèi)容豐富,學(xué)生可以在學(xué)習(xí)語(yǔ)法知識(shí)的同時(shí)領(lǐng)略珠穆朗瑪峰、里海、撒哈拉沙漠、尼羅河、長(zhǎng)城等世界之最的美景,從而陶冶他們熱愛(ài)祖國(guó)、熱愛(ài)自然的高尚情操。

        教學(xué)目標(biāo)

        1.知識(shí)與技能:

        (1)掌握本節(jié)課的重點(diǎn)詞匯及短語(yǔ): square, deep,population,Asia,feel free,tourist,ancient,amazing,protect,wide, as far as I know。

        (2)學(xué)會(huì)表達(dá)較大的數(shù)字。例如:6,300 ;13,426 ;987。

        (3)掌握本節(jié)課描述事物的關(guān)鍵句型:

        A:Qomolangma is 8848.43 meters high.

        B:Whats the highest mountain in the world?

        C:Whats the population of China?

        D:China is one of the oldest countries in the world?

        E:China has a much longer history than the USA.

        F:There is no other man-made objects as big as the Great Wall.

        (4)靈活運(yùn)用形容詞的各種級(jí)別來(lái)描述人或事物的區(qū)別。

        2.過(guò)程與方法:按照由淺入深、循序漸進(jìn)的原則,通過(guò)小組合作、布置任務(wù)、師生互動(dòng)等課堂活動(dòng)引領(lǐng)學(xué)生掌握目標(biāo)語(yǔ)言,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生自主探究、合作交流的能力。整合教材1a-2d資源,發(fā)散思維,寫(xiě)作輸出,描述祖國(guó)之最,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的寫(xiě)作能力。

        3.情感態(tài)度與價(jià)值觀:通過(guò)各種比較了解中國(guó)以及世界地理知識(shí),培養(yǎng)學(xué)生熱愛(ài)祖國(guó)、熱愛(ài)自然的情懷。

        教學(xué)重點(diǎn):本節(jié)課的重點(diǎn)詞匯、大數(shù)的表達(dá)及形容詞的各個(gè)比較級(jí)別的句型。

        教學(xué)難點(diǎn):用形容詞的比較級(jí)別描述人或事物。

        教學(xué)方法及手段自主合作探究;任務(wù)型語(yǔ)言教學(xué)法;多媒體。

        教學(xué)步驟

        Step 1 Warming up

        T:Greet to the class. Before studying the new lesson,lets watch a video recording about a great climber who was climbing a great mountain. And then answer my question.

        Step 2 Leading in

        T:Boys and girls,do you know what mountain it is ?

        Ss:Is it Qomolangma?

        T:Yes,thats right. There are so many famous places in the world. Do you want to visit them in the future?(Show them some pictures of the Nile,the Sahara and the Caspian Sea.)

        Ss:Yes,we do./Thats for sure.

        T:Please try your best to make your dream come true.Today I will lead you to enjoy the beauty of the places.

        【設(shè)計(jì)意圖】課前播放攀登珠穆朗瑪峰的配樂(lè)視頻帶領(lǐng)學(xué)生進(jìn)入一種激昂的挑戰(zhàn)境界,引起他們的學(xué)習(xí)興趣。展示其他世界之最的圖片,為1a做鋪墊。

        Step 3 Presentation (Finish the tasks 1a-1c)

        T:Lets check the preview of the new words: one student says out the Chinese meanings of the words,the other one spells them. Such two students form a group. (Decide two winners from three or four groups.)

        T:All of you did well. Keep trying. In this lesson,we will compare some things with large numbers. Now please try to read these number after me:

        135 ;796 ;3,250;13,568,213,000。

        (Let the Ss have a discussion about how to sum up the methods of the reading and writing about the numbers. )

        We can read like this: thirteen billion,five hundred and sixty-eight million,two hundred and thirteen thousand,four hundred and seventy.

        (Ss read the numbers of Part 1a. The teacher checks the mistakes;then finish Part 1a. Match the places with the facts.Then make sentences such as: The Sahara is about 9,600,000s quare kilometers in size. Then make conversations like this.

        S1:How high is Mount Qomolangma?

        S2:Its 8848.43 meters high.

        T:You have grasped the facts of the four places, now lets find out more characters of them. Listen to the tape and fill in the blanks.

        (Ss finish the task of 1b and then sum up the usages of the comparative degree and the superlative degree of adjectives.)

        T:Well done! We must pay attention to the usages:of all...; In the...; than any other ...

        Then please recite the jingle to review the three degrees of adjectives.

        (Ss口訣:“原級(jí)比較形容詞、副詞放在as... as 中間,比較級(jí)和than相連,最高級(jí)出現(xiàn)在of all...,in...,among...表示范圍的短語(yǔ)前?!盠ook at the big screen and read the changing rules of the three degrees of adjectives and adverbs.)

        T:Now please make conversations according to the information of 1b. (Ss make up some conversations in pairs.)

        S1:Whats the deepest lake in the world?

        S2:Its the Caspian Sea.

        1.本節(jié)課課型是一節(jié)新授課,設(shè)計(jì)了一系列的聽(tīng)說(shuō)讀寫(xiě)教學(xué)任務(wù),學(xué)生在師生互動(dòng)、生生互動(dòng)的過(guò)程中掌握了重點(diǎn)詞匯,較大數(shù)字的表達(dá)方法。

        2.學(xué)生在經(jīng)過(guò)初步感知較大數(shù)字讀法及形容詞比較、最高級(jí)的拓展用法之后,探究、討論這些問(wèn)題,達(dá)到感知—理解—共鳴—吸收的課堂教學(xué)效果。

        3.有效地運(yùn)用多媒體信息技術(shù),實(shí)現(xiàn)了網(wǎng)絡(luò)與英語(yǔ)課程的整合。事實(shí)證明播放恰當(dāng)?shù)挠新曇曨l更具有感染力,更能激發(fā)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)興趣。

        5.各個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)的教學(xué)都充分調(diào)動(dòng)了學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)主動(dòng)性,啟發(fā)學(xué)生思考問(wèn)題,在小組合作、探究中完成任務(wù),教師適當(dāng)幫助,盡量不讓一名學(xué)生掉隊(duì),使每名學(xué)生都成為課堂的主人。
