At the English Corner

I will never forget my first experience of going to the English Corner. It remains vivid and fresh in my mind though almost one year has passed.

One sunny Sunday morning during the summer vacation last year， I went to Liangshan Park with my parents. We had no difficulty in finding the English Corner， which was on a small island in the center of a lake. When we got there， many people had already gathered on the island. Most of them were young people. They were talking with each other in English actively. I was very eager to join them， but I was a bit shy and nervous. My parents encouraged me to have a try. They said， “You will never know what you can do until you try！” Just at that moment， two girls came up to me with a big smile. Then we started talking in English. We talked about our study as well as popular singers， film stars， sports， books and so on. From the talk I learned this was the third time they came to the English Corner. I had never thought I was able to talk on so many topics in English. Ever since then， I have been practicing speaking English there quite often. It has brought me great joy and my spoken English has improved. I hope that more and more people will join us. Welcome to the English Corner！

在英語(yǔ)角

我永遠(yuǎn)不會(huì)忘記我第一次去英語(yǔ)角的經(jīng)歷。雖然已經(jīng)過(guò)去了將近一年的時(shí)間，但它在我腦海里依然記憶鮮明。

去年暑假，在一個(gè)陽(yáng)光明媚的星期日上午，我和父母去了梁山公園。我們很容易就找到了英語(yǔ)角，它就在湖中心的一個(gè)小島上。當(dāng)我們到達(dá)那里時(shí)，已經(jīng)有很多人聚集在島上，大多數(shù)都是年輕人。他們都在積極地用英語(yǔ)相互交談。我非常渴望加入他們，但是我有點(diǎn)害羞和緊張。我的父母鼓勵(lì)我試一試，說(shuō)：“你永遠(yuǎn)不知道你可以做什么，除非你去嘗試！”就在那時(shí)，兩個(gè)女孩走到我面前，笑容燦爛。然后我們開(kāi)始用英語(yǔ)交談。我們談到了彼此的學(xué)習(xí)以及流行歌手、電影明星、運(yùn)動(dòng)、書籍等。從談話里我得知這是她們第三次來(lái)到英語(yǔ)角。我從來(lái)沒(méi)有想過(guò)我能用英語(yǔ)談?wù)撨@么多主題。從那以后，我經(jīng)常去那里練習(xí)說(shuō)英語(yǔ)。它給我?guī)?lái)了很多快樂(lè)并使我英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)得到了提高。希望越來(lái)越多的人加入我們的行列。歡迎來(lái)到英語(yǔ)角！
